I woke up the next morning my thoughts roaming through my head. I was still asleep in the cold basement floor laying on its smooth surface. I was alone until the crazy cat of my sister came. She went running down the stairs to the basement. Lucky thing Gumball unlocked the door in the morning. I was sleeping peacefully until I felt Cake put ointment on my injuries on my back. I woke up with a sting in my back and I cringed. When I saw Cake she had a very worried look in her face. She was healing me and I kept crying in pain.

“Thank you for everything Cake” I said softly. She just moved her head from left to right. “I’m your guardian after all so I have the right to take care of my baby. It’s my pleasure anyways. But what you did last night my dear was unbelievable” she said still shaking her head as in ‘no’.  I sighed “Cake, I had to sacrifice myself for Peppermint maid. I didn’t want her to get hurt. I had to take her spot. Even though I did nothing wrong nor did she. I still had to stood up for her. Why? Because she has helped me and I as a great hero I’m, I am supposed to do the same for her” I said.

She sighed “I still think that gumwad is a son of-“ before she could continue I remarked as usual. “Cake! He can hear us you know!” I said to her. She just smiled and hugged me. I winced in pain. “Your just as brave as our mother” Cake said. I smiled brightly being really happy. “Cake” I whispered getting much closer and talking as soft as I could ever. “Yes?” she said intently. “We need to get out of here as soon as possible. I don’t want to be in this inferno anymore. I know for a fact that this whole castle is full of guards and security but I found the most easiest and quietest way to escape” I said. I pointed towards the small window where the lock was.

Cake shook her head. “Oh no, no no no! You and I are not going to escape. There is no way I’m letting you get hurt again. Have you not seen what Gumball has done to you? Do you want to be dead?! If he finds out or caught us then he’ll kill us. He will never let us see each other and you are going to be worse than ever before. No girl I don’t approve of this!” she said seriously looking into my eyes. I sighed “Cake we have to escape. We need to be free! If we live here any second we’ll die I can tell. We need to find Marshall, my boyfriend, and we need to stop our enemies plan. You see that window? That’s our key to freedom; we just need the key.”

Before I could say more Cake covered my mouth. “Oh sweet lord of jesus you remember Marshall!! The potion must be totally gone away! Oh my glob! What happened?! How did you end up getting cured?!” she said .I smiled and blushed a little. “Well, to tell you the truth it was all a miracle. Remember what happened last night? I ended up getting pushed by Gumball and I hit myself in the head quite pretty hard. I think I hit myself with the wall. After that I started remembering things. Marshall was the first thing that came up to my mind then the rest of the other memories came back. I think my mind ended up fighting off the majority of the potion but with the encounter with the wall ended making me get my whole memories back to normal. I am officially cured!” I exclaimed.
