Kellin's POV

I sat at the Fuentes dining table completely stuffed as his Mom tried to coax me into eating more of the delicious food. I politely declined and leaned back in my chair.
"What do you guys want to do after dinner?" Mike asked.
"Kellin! Kellin! Kellin! Can you watch a movie with me! We'll watch Cars! Please!" Jake begged as he jumped up from his seat and ran over to me. I chuckled at the small boy and smiled.
"Sure."
"Yay!" He exclaimed and ran into the living room and came back with the DVD. He crawled up in my lap and shoved the case in my face.

"This is the movie. Have you seen it before?"
"No I don't think so." I said and his jaw dropped.
"It's the best! My favorite car is the blue one! Not the girl but the one who becomes Lightening's coach."
"Jake don't stay in Kellin's face like that." Mike said and Jake apologized before scooting back on my lap slightly and continued to tell me about the animated movie. Once everyone finished eating Jake basically forced everyone into the living room to watch Cars.

Vic started the movie and everyone took a seat, Jake's being my lap. Vic sat down beside of me, Mike on the other side of him, and his parents on the love seat.
"He'll be out is forty-five minutes tops. Then we can go upstairs." Vic whispered to me and put his arm around my shoulder. I nodded and laid my head on his shoulder as the movie played.

Just like Vic said, Jake fell asleep halfway through the movie. He was clutching my shirt and drooling slightly. Vivian turned the movie off and flipped on the lights while Mike cooed at his son. He took a picture of the sleeping boy and then carefully lifted him from my arms. I smiled up at Mike and he smiled back as he left the living room to carry his son to bed.

"Hey Vic, can I ask you a question?"
"Sure."
"Where's Jake's Mom?" I said and Vic gave me a sad smile.
"Her name was Alex. Her and Mike had been together for a couple years and Jake was a surprise. Mike was so excited. He couldn't wait for his baby to be born. He admitted that he didn't exactly plan on having kids yet but he wouldn't have it any other way. Alex on the other hand wasn't too keen on the idea." He pulled me closer to him and ran his fingers through my hair.

"She actually tried to convince Mike to let her get rid of their baby."
"Wait, she wanted an abortion?" Vic nodded.
"Yea but Mike wouldn't hear of it. So Alex said she would have the baby. Jake was born at seven months and they had a few complications so they had admitted him into the hospital right after he was born. Alex was perfectly healthy and they actually let her be discharged from the hospital. She joined Mike for about an hour while he watched over Jake before she told him she was going home to freshen up and get food. Mike, who wasn't going to leave the hospital until he had his baby in his arms, kissed her and told her to be careful."

"My Dad drove her to their apartment and told her to call him when she was ready to come back, but she never called. She packed up everything she had and just left. No one knew where she went or who she went with. Mike was absolutely devastated. His girlfriend and mother of his child vanished and his newborn baby was in the hospital."

"For the month and a half that Jake was in the hospital we thought we had lost Mike, but as soon and they put Jake in his arms he was himself again and ever since all he has been worried about is Jake. He wants him to have the best life possible and make sure he knows he's loved. That kid means the world to Mike and Mike is one hell of a Dad" Vic finished.
"How could she just up and leave?"
"We have no clue." Vic sighed. "Jakes only asked about her once and that's it. He doesn't seem very worried about the fact that he's missing a mother but he's still young so who knows."
"Has Mike dated anyone since?" I asked.
"Well not really. Like I said his biggest concern is Jake." I nodded my head and leaned into Vic's shoulder.

"You wanna go upstairs?" Vic asked after about ten minutes of us just laying on the couch. I nodded.
"I really wanna see your room." I said and he laughed. He led me up the stairs and down the hallway to the last door. He opened it and I couldn't help but laugh at the fact that it still looked like a teenagers room. Posters covered the dark green walls and clothes were strewn haphazardly around the room.
"Sorry it's a mess." He said and scratched his head. "My cousins like to throw my stuff everywhere when they visit. Mom probably didn't even know they were I here."
"Okay whatever you say Vic." I said and fell back on his bed.

"Don't you whatever me mister." He said and hovered over me.
"What're you gonna do about it?" I smirked and he bit his lip.
"You really want me to answer that question?"
"I think I do Fuentes."
"Shut it Quinn." He said and hungrily kissed me.
