☁️Denki KaminariXReader: Unexpected Date

You were sitting in the entrance of a restaurant waiting for your date. They had told you to meet them there at 6:30. You had gotten there on time and waited for them, but they never showed up. Your date then texted you.

'Hey, Sorry, I'm running a little late, just get a table for two. I'll be there soon.'
'Okay,' You texted back.

The waitress led you to a table for two. You had been sitting for a while now and your date still hadn't shown up. The waitress had come by multiple times asking if your ready to order, but you always declined and hoped your date was just late. You had texted them multiple times asking where they were, but they never replied. People had started looking at you with apologetic looks as if they knew what was happening. You started to feel worse and worse as the pit in your stomach grew.

*Kaminari's P.O.V.*

"Dude, look at that girl," Kirishima said to me, "She's been sitting there alone forever. You think her date ditched her?"
"I don't know man. I feel really sorry for her," I replied while sympathetically looking at her.

She had really pretty, shiny (h/c) hair, and beautiful, sparkling (e/c) eyes. Her lips were elegant and glossy, and that dress she wore looked so good on her body.

Kirishima nodded, "Yeah..."
"She's so cute too. I don't know who would ever stand up a girl like that," I said.
"Kaminari, do you think she's cute?" Kirishima smirked.
My cheeks turned a little pink, "Y-yeah. So?"
"Dude, why don't you go up to her and help her out," Kirishima suggested.
"Really, you'd be okay with me leaving you?" I questioned.
"Yeah. Come on Kaminari, be a man," Kirishima reassured.
"Thanks dude," I thanked.

I got up and made my way over to that cute girl.

*Your P.O.V.*

You finally decided to give up. Your date had stood you up and wasn't coming. You were about to stand up and leave when a boy plopped down in front of you.

"Sorry I'm late, babe. Traffic was awful and it was impossible to find a parking spot," The boy loudly explained.

The few people that were looking at you turned their attention back to their food since your "date" had finally arrived.

"Just go with it, okay? Whoever stood you up is a dick," He quietly added.

You smiled and nodded. You decided to go along with it because 1, he's being sweet and trying to save you, and 2, he's the cutest thing you've ever seen. His hair and eyes were a matching electric yellow color. His hair was spiky and messy. He had on a super nice outfit on, and his smile was so bright.

"So..." He said grabbing a menu, "What should we order?"
You grabbed a menu, "I'm not sure. I haven't really been here before."
"Yeah, I haven't been here before either, but I think I know exactly what I want," He proclaimed.
"What is it?" You asked.
"You," He replied with a flirtatious smile.

You blushed and smiled at his dumb joke.

"Sh-shut up," You said turning away.
"Aw come on, it's wasn't that bad," He chuckled, "Anyway, I'm Denki Kaminari, but you can just call me Denki."
"I'm (Y/n) (L/n), thank you for coming over and sitting with me. I know I must've ruined your night," You apologized.
"What? Are you kidding? It got better when I came here to sit with you. You're super cute and I thought you deserved a nice guy like me," Kaminari replied.
"Are you trying to compliment me or yourself?" You asked with a raised brow.
"I-" He cut himself off at a loss for words, "You got me there."
You giggled, "How well does this routine work with other girls?"
"Pretty good actually," Denki answered.

The waitress came by and took your guy's orders.

Your unexpected date ended and you and Denki walked out of the restaurant with your arms linked together. You two walked down the streets of the city that was alive with nightlife. The neon lights of sign and billboards lit up the city, and the street lights lined the road. The cars were loud, but it was a nice little walk in the city. You reached your car and turned to Denki.

"Thank you, Denki. That was probably the best date I've ever had," You thanked as you looked up into his sparkling eyes.
He held your hands in his and smirked, "Yeah, we should do it again sometime."
You smiled, "You know... I really like you, Denki."
"Does that mean I've earned something more than just another date?" He asked with a mischievous smile.

You thought about it.

"Maybe..." You taunted and looked back at him with a smirk.

He looked at you expectantly. You leaned in closer to his face, and he leaned in too. You could feel his hot breath as your lips almost touched his. Just as you were about to connect your lips with his, you put a finger up against them as if shushing him.

"But you know..." You said leaning away from him, "We've only been on one date. I don't think we're far enough in a relationship yet."
"Playing hard to get, I see. I like that," Denki chuckled, "Alright then. Let's go on another date. Tomorrow at the park. Meet you there at 6:30?"
"Sounds good to me," You replied.

You stood on your tippy toes and quickly kissed his cheek.

"See you then, Denki~" You teased.

You got into your car and drove away. You looked in your review mirror to see Denki fist-pump the air. You giggled. He's so cute. Best unexpected date ever.
