Katsuki BakugouXReader: Happy Birthday!

"Hey, Asui, Uraraka, how's the decorating coming along?" Kirishima asked.
"It's going pretty good. We're just about finished," Uraraka replied.
"Great! Keep it up!" Kirishima encouraged.
"Kirishima, where do you want me to put the cake?" Sato wondered.
Kirishima spun around and pointed to a table, "Just over on that table. It looks amazing, Satou!"
"Thanks, Kirishima!" Satou replied, heading over to the table.

Kirishima stood as the common room was coming together right before his eyes.

"Everything's gotta be perfect for (L/n), and for Bakugou!" Ejirou cheered.
"Yeah!" Everyone else cheered, joyed to be supporting their fellow classmate.

Nothing could go wrong, and it all had to be perfect because (L/n) had entrusted him to setting everything up as she went and took care of Bakugou.

"Okay guys, thank you for gathering here," You started, standing before your classmates, "The reason i called you all here is for a very special date this week-"
"4/20 BLAZE ITT!!!" Kaminari shouted.
"Don't interrupt! Let her speak!" Jirou scolded.
You smiled in amusement before continuing, "Thank you, Jirou, but he isn't completely wrong. The important date is on 4/20, but for a completely different reason, it's Katsuki's birthday."
"WHAAA??"
"His birthday is 4/20??"
"Well, it matches his quirk!"
"What a coincidence!"

You waited for everyone to calm down before continuing.

"So, since it's his birthday, I wanted to throw him a surprise party," You proposed.
"That's a great idea, (L/n)!" Ashido exclaimed.
"It'll surly lift his sour mood!" Yoayorozu stated.
"If you're the one planning it, he'll totally love it!" Kaminari said.
"Yeah!" Everyone cheered.

A smile spread across your face at your classmates' support.

"I'm so glad you're all okay with it! Okay, so I've started planning it out, and I think Sero, Shoji, Tokoyami, Aoyama, Ashido, Uraraka, Asui, Hagakure and Yoayorozu should do the decorations; Jirou and Kaminari can do the music; Satou, Ojiro and Koda and work on the cattery, and Midoriya, Mineta, Todoroki, and Tenya and get the supplies," You said. Then you turned towards Kirishima. "And Kirishima, I'm gonna be the one distracting Bakugou until the surprise is ready. Are you willing to make sure it all gets put together?" You asked him.

Kirishima was astonished that you were giving him such an important task and was touched that you trusted him so much, "Of course, (L/n)!"
"Great, I trust you will make everything perfect," You stated.
"I won't let you down! That would be unmanly!" He exclaimed.
"Well, I'll leave you to it then," You said smiling. You waved before leaving, "See ya later, Kiri."

You then left to go get Katsuki.

You had full faith in your classmates that they'd do their part, so you had to do yours. Earlier that day, you had texted Bakugou that you wanted to hangout at the park. He reluctantly agreed, not really wanting to leave his room on a Saturday morning. Regardless, he got ready and met you in the not-yet decorated, common room. You smiled at him as he came in, and he just scoffed and turned his gaze away.

"Thanks for doing this Katsuki. I know you didn't really wanna leave your bed this early," You thanked, slightly joking.
"Yeah, whatever," He replied in his gruff voice.

You then started walking out of the dormitories and Katsuki followed alongside you. You turned your head to look at Kirishima who was sitting on the couch. He gave you a smile and a thumbs up in reassurance. You smiled back and nodded just as you left the building.

You and Katsuki walked in silence for a brief moment before you spoke up.

"Katsuki," You started.

He slightly turned his head, his red eyes looking at you.

"Have you ever wondered how the best heroes got to become the best?" You asked.
"Hah?!" He exclaimed, "Of course not!! They became the best because they always won!"
You giggled at his logic, "No, I mean, like, they also had to be pleasing to the public, you know? They had to have flashy powers and cool costumes. And it's not just looks, but also character. They had to be gentle and comforting to the people they rescue, but also give society a strong sense of hope and peace, you know?"
"Character my ass, all they have to do is strike fear into villains' and then strike their face and win," He simply replied.

You laughed.

"Oi! What's so funny? You got something to say to me??" Katsuki exclaimed.
As your laughing died down, you spoke, "Is it all just intimidation, violence, and winning for you?"
"Well, how else are you supposed to become number one?" He replied.
"Well, for starters, you can win the hearts of the people since they're the key to your fame and success. And to do that, you've gotta show love and care to them," You replied. "A soft, gentle side that'll make them like you."
"That's a load of horse shit. You become a hero by beating villain's asses," Katsuki stated.
"Whatever you say, Katsuki," You said, rolling your eyes.

You guys continued walking around the park. Kids ran past playing games and flying kites. Families were having picnics and couples were walking together. The uplifting, lively atmosphere was nice an comforting after a long week of hard hero training.

At the end of the day, just as the sun started to set, you felt a vibration in your pocket. You took out your phone to see Kirishima had texted you.

"Everything's ready" He had texted.
"On our way" You replied.

You slowly started making your way back with Katsuki.

"Kirishima! I see them coming!" Midoriya exclaimed as he peeked out the window.
"Alright everyone! The moment we've been preparing for! Everyong hide!" Kirishima instructed.

Everybody listened and hid behind the furniture, await the arrival of their classmates.

You and Katsuki entered the silent common room. But not a second later, everyone jumped out and shouted, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAKUGOU!!"

Confetti rained down and sparklers were suddenly lit as an orange glow from the setting sun filled the room.

Katsuki was completely frozen in shock. His mouth was slightly agape as his ruby eyes were wide open. His body appeared stiff and rigid.

You giggled at Katsuki's priceless expression, which was luckily caught on camera by Ashido. Your giggling snapped him out of his shocked state, and he returned to his foul mood.

"Tch," He started, looking away, "This is stupid."

But regardless of what he said, everyone could see the slight blush on his cheeks.

"Aw, come on, Bakugou, we set it all up for you," Sero said.
"Yeah, some of us even got presents for you," Kirishima said, giving him a small wrapped box.

The rest of the Bakusquad gave him presents along with a few others.

"Why the fuck would you waste your time on a stupid party?" He grumbled.
"Because you're our friend Bakugou! And plus, (L/n) was really the one who planned it all for you," Ashido brought up.

Katsuki snapped his head over to you for an explanation.

"What can I say," You innocently said with a smile.

You then moved over to stand in front of Katsuki, your face inches away from his.

"Anyway, here's your present from me."

You moved closer, closing the gap between you and Katsuki as your eyelids fluttered shut. Your lips met his surprisingly soft ones. You held the kiss for a few moments as you heard cheers from your classmates and clicks of pictures being taken. You pulled away to see Katuki's face shocked and bright red.

You giggled and in a hushed voice said, "So what do you think Katsuki? Have I won your heart with love?"

When he didn't answer, still in shock, you smiled and placed a quick kiss on his cheek before you completely stepped away. You took his hand in yours and pulled him over to the cake.

"Come on, we still have to sing you happy birthday."
