Anyway, yeah...

Since you were 4, you had been a dragon your whole life. The whole story sounded crazy but then again, this world was powered by magic, so it wasn't too out of the ordinary. Anyway, you were once a fair girl. But since you had managed ticked off an old hag who was actually a witch, she cursed you to be a hideous beast that all heroes were destined to kill: A Dragon. I know right, a witch actually was mean enough to curse a 4 year old child who had ticked her off. Since you were a child, you were a very young dragon. The witch left you in the woods to die, but the King Dragon felt pity for you and kindly took you in. Although dragons are greedy and rough, they'll still look out for the baby hatchlings to make sure their kin survives.

You had been growing up strong and well as a dragon under the wing of the King Dragon. In a couple of years, he had taught you how to fly, how to hunt, and how to fight. Since you were a female dragon, you were swift and agile, but you could still pack a punch. You were one of the highest respected dragons due to your combat, but mostly because of being raised by the King of all Dragons. You were quite the lucky cursed child. Although you were great, you were still considered a young dragon, only being 7 years of age after all.

One day, you were playing with one of the other hatchlings when the King Dragon returned to the Dragon Lair with a human. A normal human boy. He had poofy, spikey, ash-blond hair and red eyes that seemed to hold an eternally burning fire. You were curious, so you stopped playing and walked over to the King Dragon to see what it was about.

"What is this Father?" You asked King Dragon as you circled around and sniffed the boy, "Why have you returned with a human boy?"
"I found him alone in the woods as I did with you those three years ago," He answered, "The boy had been abandoned and I saw something in him that reminded me of you. That is why I brought him to the cave."
"But he is not a dragon. Surely the other dragons will devour him once they discover him wandering around here alone," You brought up.
"Ah yes. That would be the case, but he is in my care. He is under my wing. No dragon would dare hurt him in fear of facing my wrath," King Dragon answered.
You looked up at the Dragon King, "But will he be able to survive in the Dragon Lair? He is but an ordinary boy."
"He may be a mortal human, but this boy has the heart and strength of a dragon," King Dragon answered, "And since he is a human as you once were, you will be the one to teach him the dragon ways."
"But Father, I hardly know them myself! I-" You got cut off.
"You have been a noble dragon for three years, (Y/n). And you were a human for four years. You are the only one who knows both worlds. Ours and this boy's. You are best suited to teach him," Dragon King declared, "And from what I know, this boy appears to be seven years just like you."

You turned to the boy and looked into his eyes. There was no fear of the dragons standing before him. He was strong and confident. This boy had fire in his eyes and a dragon's heart.

You gave in to the King Dragon and confidently replied, "Alright Father. I will train this human and teach him our ways. I accept this task."
"I knew you would, my young (Y/n)," The Dragon King smiled, "Now then, I fully give you responsibility of teaching the human boy our customs."

And with that, the Dragon King unfurled his great wings and flew away. You and the boy both watched The King Dragon majestically fly off. You turned to the boy and looked at him. He looked right back at you. You weren't much taller than this boy. Actually, you might have even been the same height.

You stepped towards him, but he got into a fighting stance, ready to defend himself. You were hurt at his distrusting actions, but you didn't blame him. So instead, you laid down to show him you were willing to show vulnerability in front of him. He looked at you, confused at your body language. Realizing he wouldn't understand dragon body language well, you decided to think through the mind of a human. You recalled things you did as a human that were fun.
