A/N: OH BOY this one is so hecking long. let me know if i should continue writing oneshots this long or if i should try to shorten them up. I had finished my morning ride a while ago, yet I still thought about it. I couldn't get that encounter with that maiden out of my head. I couldn't get her out of my head. She was stunning in every way possible. She was clearly strong and fit, being able to effortlessly carry a bale of hay. Her eyes were a sparkling (e/c), and the smile on her lips was so genuine, not fake like everyone else's in the castle.

I replayed the way she said my name in my head.

"My Prince."
"Shouto."

Her voice was beautiful. It was a rich tone, yet so smooth and gentle. It was sweet and soothing, ultimately a heavenly sound.

But what I remembered most was her smile. Sweet, pure, genuine. I couldn't get it out of my head. It gave me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside of me. I simply melted at the image of her smiling in my mind, but I knew it wasn't as good as the real one. Oh, how I longed to see that beautiful smile again. So, I decided to get up and do something about it.

I passed my butler on my way out.

"Y-Your highness! Where are you headed in such a rush?" He questioned.
"I'm going out," I state.
"Would you like me to fetch your horse?" He asked.
"No, I'll get it myself."
"Very well, your highness," My butler replied, not wanting to oppose.

I then made my way to the royal stables.

You were hanging up the saddles and bridles of the horses, having just finished washing them when you heard footsteps approaching. Soon after, you heard a smooth, soothing voice.

"It must be a lot of work to care for all these horses, no?"

You turned around to be met with the Prince. The stables were dimmer than the outdoors, so the sunlight from outside shone behind the Prince. The light behind him seemed to make him glow almost as if he was sent down from the heavens. This was not entirely far-fetched seeing as his looks and charming personality made him seem like an ethereal being.

"M-my Prince," You stuttered as you curtsied.
"My Lady," He smoothly replied with a nod of his head.
"P-please, call me (Y/n)," You said.
"Yes, and call me Shouto," The Prince returned.
"Have we had this conversation before?" You jokingly questioned, your lips turning upwards into a sly smile.
"I'm not sure, you'll have to remind me," He replied, an equally sly smirk on his lips.

You let out a giggle as he let out a chuckle.

"What brings you out to the stables, Shouto?" You wondered.
"I came to retrieve my horse," He answered.
"Oh, well, she's out in the fields. Allow me to lead you to her," You replied.

You hung up the last bridle and started walking out to the fenced field with Shouto following behind you.

"If you don't mine me asking, why didn't your butler come retrieve her as usual?" You asked.
"I wanted to come get her myself for a change," He simply replied.

You nodded and reached the fence.

You pointed out into the pasture "There she is."

You whistled a specific pattern and the Prince's horse started making its way towards the two of you.
