I'm so so so sorry that I haven't been updated regularly it's just I've been grounded and I won't be ungrounded until I graduate which is May 24.

Wishful Thinking

"Thanks for making me pick up these," I said sarcastically, tossing the box of tampons at my mom and shuddering.

Catching them, Pattie merely smirked, shrugging. "Sorry, hun. I needed more."

I scrunched up my nose. "Urgh. Please, just...don't."

She merely laughed, clearly enjoying my embarrassment.

I turned and began to take the stairs two at a time, wanting nothing more than to collapse on my bed and go to sleep.

I could still feel the echoing pains of my headache.

But I had barely made it halfway up the stairs when Pattie's voice rang out behind me,

"Justin! Where are you going? Frank's going to be here any minute, I need you down here for dinner!"

I groaned in spite of myself.

Why did this day have to get even worse than it already was?

"Be down in a minute," I called in reply.

Shaking my head, I trudged up the rest of the stairs until I reached my room.

I changed into nicer clothes (hoping to get on the good side of my mom), before heading back downstairs.

An hour and a half later and I was about ready to puke.

And not from the food.

Dickwad had come over and spent the entire time sucking up to my mom, murmuring nauseating things to her and purposely leaving me out of the conversation.

I spoke maybe twice the entire time.

When the dinner from hell seemed to finally come to a conclusion, I practically jumped out of my seat and began to go upstairs.

"Justin, wait!" I heard Dickwad's voice call behind me.

Resisting the urge to roll my eyes, I turned back to face him, setting my jaw as I did so.

"What?" I said dryly.

A devious smirk spread across his face and for a moment, all he did was stand there and stare at me.

I stared right back, feeling more and more agitated by the second.
