"Clarke," I greeted the blonde with a smile while I held the plate full of food in my hands. The two of us stood near the entrance of the dining room, just at the end of the table I planned on sitting at once I reached Monty and my brother.

Her eyes widened in disbelief, like she was genuinely surprised to see I had accommodated to Mount Weather so quickly. Clarke's eyes swept over my whole body, nose slightly wrinkling at the floral dress I wore, as if she forgotten I didn't chose a more suitable outfit.

Right now, Clarke and I were as different as we could be from each other. She wore cropped pants that were the best option to run in, including the sneakers on her feet. Clarke was a prime example for painting a target on her own back in this place. The last thing I wanted to do was stand out in Mount Weather and have Dante watch me with a close eye.

I nodded my head toward Monty and Jasper. "You can sit with us."

Clarke opened her mouth to make a comment, but before she had a chance to utter a word, I swiveled around in my flats and led her to the table. I didn't have to turn around to know she was following behind me. I walked up to my brother, smiling when I saw Dante glance over at us.

As far as he was concerned, I was not someone that he needed to worry about, not when Clarke was a bigger threat to Mount Weather. She was reckless and determined to escape, something she didn't try to hide from anyone, and that would get her in trouble eventually.

Jasper smiled when he saw Clarke standing behind the chair next to Monty. "Hey, Clarke.

Clarke set her gaze on me, voice low. "Sit down and pretend you're happy to see me."

"We are happy to see you," Jasper glanced at Monty and I, confused by her odd behavior. He watched as the two of us sat down in the chairs across from each other.

Monty pointed to the cake on his plate. "You have to try the chocolate cake."

"Oh, it is so on," my brother stared at him with disbelief.

I scooped up my fork after setting my plate down. Leaning against my brother's side, I stole a sliver of his pie, far too eagerly. My head tilted back in delight as a soft moan floated from my lips, completely head over heels for the delicious dessert. At first, I was worried about eating their food, but when I saw their people eat the same food that I able to choose from, I assumed that it was safe. They wouldn't poison their own people.

"I'm not eating their food," Clarke replied. She grabbed the binder Keenan had given us earlier and flipped it open to the page with the map of Mount Weather. "Look, they gave us a map with no exits."

My lips partially parted at her observation. Of course, I wasn't surprised by what she pointed out. My own binder laid on the table on the other side of me. Before I grabbed my food, I pretended to show curiosity toward the information inside while I solely focused on the important parts of it.

Clarke glanced at the two boys. "I need you to tell me everything you've seen. Every room, every hallway, every way out."

"'Way out'?" Jasper questioned her with a confused expression written on his face.

I frowned at the blonde across from me, well aware of the few cameras on the walls of this room and knowing that someone was always listening. If I was really going to play the part of being innocent, then I needed to work all of my angles.

"Look around you, Clarke." Jasper kept his voice low and nonchalantly shrugged his shoulders. "There's no one hunting us here. First time in our lives, we're not hungry. Why would we want to leave?"

From the corner of my eye, I caught Dante peering over at us, like he either knew what we were discussing or could hear us. "Clarke," I whispered back to her, gaining her attention. "Jasper's right. We're safe here. There's food and our people--"
