Coming Back into Consciousness

Gerard grunted, sitting upright on his couch, rubbing his head. Jesus, it hurt...

'Morning, sunshine.'

He blinked, looking to the side to see his brother leaning against the arm of the lounge.

'Hey, Mikes... Ungh... Why is my head hurting so much?...'

'Oh, that. Yeah, you got beaten up pretty bad.'

He groaned, beginning to vaguely remember the fight with the guy in the dog suit.

'Ugh... That...'

'You got knocked out, and so they sent you home. Well. They sent your body home. Mom and dad came and got you. They asked if I'd come home, too, but I knew what Ray and Frankie were gonna do and I wanted to watch it play out. Though,' he sighed, 'I was a little too late, and Ray ran away before I could highfive him.'

'Frankie... Fr... Who's tha--nevermind. What did they do, anyway?'

Mikey rolled his eyes, sighing. 'Jesus, Gee, it's like you don't even know him. Of course he punched the dude in the face. Several times. Hard. After tackling him to the ground.'

Gerard's eyes widened, as Mikey continued. 'Thank god we were in school, because if it were outside of school, then that guy would have been screwed... Remember that one time Ray put that one dude in hospital for like forever? Anyway, Frankie, he's that new kid. He's in my year. I invited him over on Saturdaaay!' he said, grinning.

Gerard sighed. 'Michael, your gay is showing.

Mikey laughed, shaking his head. 'Whatever. As if it really matters. At least I'm not some bitch-ass guy with thirty girls hanging off my arms. It's not like I'm a douche or anything. Besides, he's cute.'

Gerard cringed a little. 'PLEASE don't call guys cute around me. It's weird.'

Mikey shook his head, a smirk on his face, running off upstairs.

Gerard got up and walked into the kitchen. Well, whatever. He'd meet this guy on Saturday, and it's not like they were going to do anything in front of him. For all he knew, this kid was straight.
