~CHARACTER: Kagami Taiga~

~LOCATION: Kaijo High School~

I trudge alongside Kuroko, my eyes feeling heavy since I wasn't able to get a wink of sleep. I look forward and see (F. Name) skipping alongside Koganei and Izuki. Her sketch book in her hands as her pencil flew across the page. She looked entirely focused, until she looked up from her book. She spoke quietly with the two second years before going back to her artbook.

I remember the first day I met her. She was nose deep in her drawing and ran into me. I didn't even see her until she fell backwards, and accidentally tripped me in my shock. Boy, that was a surprise. She was so small I mistook her as a middle schooler.

"I'm guessing you were too excited to play Kise to sleep last night." Kuroko murmured softly beside me. I jerked to the side in slight surprise. Since I was tired I stumbled even further before regaining my balance. I stared at the blue haired male with a blank look. I forgot he was there. "So? What difference does it make to you?" I retort louder than I should've.

"Oi! Tree! Don't talk to Tetsu like that! Otherwise I'll kick your ass in game of one-on-one!" (L. Name) snarled withot looking at me. Cocky brat. I thought unamused. I saw a brief, tiny smile flutter across the phantoms face. "She called you a tree..." he reminded me. It took a minute for those words to sink in. "Wait a minute! I'm not a tree, Tiny!" I shot back.

"Fight me Bakagami!" The mini player taunted with a sneer. I felt my aggravation rise. This girl knew how to push someone's nerves. "Don't react. It's something she subconsciously does when she's anxious. On the court though... that's a different story." Tetsuya murmurs to me. I loose a sigh and calm down. That's all I could do at the moment.

Koganei looked at me briefly and gave an apologetic look. I shook my head. What was up with that girl? She had so many different personalities. So many different faces. She was happy one moment then crazy scary the next. She was quiet then loud. Sad then demanding.

The boy next to me sighed as if reading my mind. "She's faced harder things than most. She doesn't know how to tame her emotions well." He mused quietly and more to himself. I wonder what he means... does it have something to do with her outburst yesterday at Kise? She seemed pretty distraught and angry about that.

I sighed myself before shoving those thoughts out. I should focus on the upcoming basketball game. After what Kuroko told me last night, I need to bring my "A Game". Sure Tetsuya didn't seem that tough, I beat him on multiple occasions. But (F. Name)... I wasn't sure about her. She seemed so... harmless. But she turned into a ruthless devil when beating Kise. How strong is she? What is she?

A phrase ran through my head without permission. A perfect imitation. I hear a soft exclamation of awe from the two second years by the Predator. I glance ahead once more, and see the small female showing them her completed projects. They looked so surprised as they complimented her art skills. From what I briefly glimpsed once, her skills in the art department were extraordinary.

A proud look crossed the (Hair C.) haired girls face. "Where did you learn to draw so well?!" Shun inquired. "Learn? No, no. I didn't learn from anyone." She paused a moment. "I taught myself. A way to express my feelings and memories for evermore." She elaborated. The two looked stunned. She gave them an innocent smile in return.

"Hey! Hey!" A sudden shout was heard, which caught all of our attention. The owner of the voice was none other than Kise Ryouta. I saw a small conflicted look, glimmer in Kuroko's baby blue eyes for a millisecond. Then it vanished as if it was never there. "It's good to see you all!" Ryouta cheered as he drew closer.
