~POV: 1st~
~CHARACTER: Kise Ryouta~
~LOCATION: Kaijo Gymnasium~
I sat agape on the bench as I watched Kagami. When he slam dunked the ball into the net, he ripped the basket right off the backboard. Only one person had broken the backboard before. And he wasn't here. That's when the little Predator pulled a Kasamatsu. She rammed her feet into the poor males stomach. He doubled over and dropped the orange rail. She seemed to be scolding him and I wasn't surprised. Before she was pushed aside by the team she used to do that to Aomine all the time. But she never knocked him over. The coach for Seirin, Kuroko and Kagami walked over. "We're so sorry!" The brunette female said as she bowed apologetically. Kagami had obviously recovered from the mighty kick he received and was smirking. The net grasped in his hand and swung over a shoulder.
"Since we can't play like this, can we play on the full court?" Tetsuya asked quietly. His blank facial expression never faltering. My coach had his teeth gritted in embarrassment and anger at this. He started grumbling before giving the okay. Seirin grinned at the fact. As both teams moved off the court, my captain walked over. "Coach will no doubt put you in. Make sure you snap the rail Kise." He told me softly. His voice deadly serious. I nod and take my gym shirt off, revealing my blue jersey underneath.
I then walk over to Kuroko and Kagami who seem to be talking about something. "Now that's a beating! I've never seen the coach so mad before." I said with a stupid grin so many girls fall for. "I wonder how much a replacement hoop will cost?" Tetsu ponders aloud. Kagami halts in his boasting and he looks stunned. "We... we have to pay for that?!" He shouted in complete anguish. But Kuroko-chii was already walking away. I laugh at the red heads face before looking for (Nickname). I felt her presence diminish earlier and even I couldn't find her then.
The girl was fairly noticeable when she wasn't playing basketball. Even in Teiko she was somewhat hard to find when playing a game, but she could be found faster than Kuroko. But this... this was ridiculous. I couldn't find her anywhere as the gym was being cleaned for a full court game. She had seemingly vanished all together. Her presence was nonexistent, and she was gone. So that's how this game will be . I think, knowing that she was going to hold back. She wasn't going to take this match seriously until we proved ourselves to her.
That's how she's always been when we played games. She never played seriously until she found them worthy. Yet she never found the heart to beat them mercilessly in a shut out. She's dangerous in this state... "Oi! Kise! We're starting up!" Kasamatsu shouted at me. I shake my head in a daze and snap back to reality. I step onto the court, prepared to win this game like I've won every other. I won't let (F. Name)-chii stick around with a weak team. And if she joins us, Kuroko is bound to follow her.
That's the downfall of their tight friendship. We gain one, the other scurries after. Sorry Seirin, sorry Kagami. But I won't and can't lose this match My eyes narrow slightly as Kaijo gets ready to make our counter. The girl would pop up again sometime soon. No doubt about it.
As the game picked up again, I waited to have the ball passed to me. I scanned the court for any obvious openings and found a few. Taiga would no doubt try to stop me after his horrendous loss at my hand the other day. I also knew that as long as the red head didn't try to coordinate with his team, Kaijo would win easily. The only ones who would use coordination would be the upperclassmen for Seirin. Kuroko would mainly pass to Kagami since it was his habit to pass to a strong player. Honestly, the odds weren't favoring Seirin. They had too many flaws.
The ball was suddenly psssed to me and I take the opportunity. I slip by my opponents defenses and leap towards the net. Copying Kagami's form without trying. I slam the ball into the net, and feel it bend beneath the immense pressure I put it under. I hang there for a fewa moments before finally letting go, realizing I can't break it. Though I wasn't prepared for Kasamatsu. I knew he kick me, but I didn't think he wohkd be so quick about it. He dug his feet into my back sending my flying forward. Howling in pain. "Kasamatsu!" I whine.
