Quick Notice: The planned release date for the revised version of Predator is sometime in July of 2020. This is still subject to change. Everything is ready to be written, though. I'll keep all of you lovely readers updated as the date gets closer.

Before this chapter: I'm doing something different this time around for a special chapter. This time I'll be using a random scenario, and throwing the characters into it, which does include some of the new characters from the revised version. Just for fun and a change of pace. (There's a teaser at the end of the chapter.) Enjoy.

Scenario: Fantasy AU. (F. Name) is a princess that just turned seventeen. The ball she has gets hijacked by the Mircale Generation with non-medieval weapons. ('Cause why not?)

The situation would have less terrifying if they didn't have flamethrowers. But of course they had to have flamethrowers. Everyone has them anymore. People were screaming and running in every direction. Orange fire danced over the once rich blue curtains. And in the center of the chaos was a group of five men.

(F. Name) wasn't sure what she should do. One part of her wanted to march up to this group of people and make them pay for the damages. They had just ruined her seventeenth birthday after all. The other part of her, the more sensible one, told her run and never look back. But her feet seemed glued to the tile floor. She watched mesmerized as the fire burned at her father's throne. The seat that should have belonged to her one day.

"M'lady!" said one of her guards. He showed up by her side and glanced between her and the raging group of pyromaniacs. He shook her shoulders, and tried to get her out of her daze. His black hair glowed orange in the fire light. His eyes wide with panic. "(F. Name)-hime! Snap out of it, let's go."

(F. Name) stumbled when he pulled on her arm. Only, it wasn't her guard. A strange man had a hold of her shoulder. A very attractive man that wasn't there a few seconds ago. The fire danced in his baby blue hair, which turned it a shade of blond. He didn't look much older than (F. Name), but he seemed to be more mature.

(F. Name)'s eyes widened with panic and she did the first thing she thought of. She kicked the stranger in the groin. She wrenched her arm free and grabbed her guard's hand. She didn't wait to find out if the attractive guy went down or not. "Yuu-san, where are we going?" she opted to ask instead.

"The only place that's safe for you. You're parents are already there," he said as they raced through the halls. The male started coughing as the smoke started to get to him. But he didn't stop. He trekked ahead, one hand on his hip, ready to draw his katana. His eyes darted to and fro, always watching.

(F. Name) had always admired Yuu Akahiko. Despite being a typical charmer to most women, he felt comfortable enough around her to speak without the flattering facade. She was a princess; he was a guard. Yet they spoke like they were equals, and she didn't mind. Sure, she had some fancy title, but in the end she served the people. Why must they revere her and her family as some type of gods?

Her hands clenched on the hem of her skirt. She had hiked it up to run faster, but the layers of petticoats were starting to drain her energy. She began to slow and Yuu noticed immediately. He cursed under his breath and scanned around to make sure they were safe. "M'lady, is everything all right? Why did you slow?"
