“I had a couple of friends in high school. And by a couple I mean my parents.” ( Jarod Kintz)

Chapter 3

“ So you must have some idea right?” Amanda asked me for what felt like the hundredth time, but in reality it was only eleven times.

“ Am, no offence but I don’t have any expectations for my first day.”

She pouted, running her hand through her brown hair before readjusting her spectacles. We were walking towards the main building of the school, before stopping at the principal’s office as Amanda had to ask for the permission of something regarding the Drama class. Did I mention? Amanda is the head of the drama class and apparently Juliet in their upcoming  drama. She skipped to my front her pink dress bouncing up and down. I supressed a giggle at her innocence. My mind immediately wandered back to the mystery A, the one who has made me a puppy at his beckoning,  made my wits shatter into bits and pieces on the floor of the bathroom of the restaurant.

" Hey earth to Brooke!” Amanda said waving her small hand in front of me, “ Just how many times do I have to say that in a day?”

I giggled despite not wanting to and Amanda gave an interesting answering grin.

" I want you to meet Bryan you'll like that guy."

" Whose br..... Amanda?"

I shouted at the top of my voice at the little pixie who sprinted towards the gate of our school, not even giving me a second glance. And within a moment I felt a sense of panic being here left alone in the sea of strangers who apparently have taken quite an interest in me.

" Damn her and her pixie genes." I said before following her, her short brown hair being the arrow. I dodged and danced on the floor of the hallways trying to avoid the sea of students who either sneered at me or laughed at me. Ignoring their rude comments I skidded to a stop seeing Amanda standing and panting.

" So finally you remember me."

She shrieked before turning around and gaping.

" I am so sorry Brooke! I forgot you were there. No I mean I didn't forget, I was just...."

" Trying to avoid me yeah I understand."

" No I didn't mean that. I am so sorry Brooke I was just.."

" Hey Amanda!"

We two looked behind Amanda to see a brown haired boy walking towards us. He was one of that cute-neighbour type guy. He was nearly 6 foot with a lean body. His walk was casual but radiated confidence. His smile showed friendliness. He looked like that kind of guy who would be there to lend a shoulder to you to cry. He was wearing a black shirt that was way too loose and skin tight jeans. Yeah that just ruined the hot image.

He walked to where we were and leaned and hugged Amanda hard. She giggled like a asmall school girl before wrapping her arms around him. She looked elated.

" Bryan!" So this was the mystery person, the one for whom I had to run some metres and feel like I have run a marathon. And so to get my pathetic revenhe, I immediately made him the object of my destructive glare. He must have felt its power as he looked up at me before frowing and then giving me a wide grin. Well why does he have to be so cute?

" SO you must be Brooke!" He said in a surprisingly light voice.

" Ah yeah" So good Brooke so good way to make a first impression.

He laughed as I rolled my eyes. Can't you just be normal for like one minute?

" Its nice to meet you, Amanda told me all about you."
