Snow White Retelling, Stop Looking into the damn mirror.

In fiction, especially teen fiction and ya, the character always ends up looking into a goddamn mirror and talking about herself.

I looked into the mirror and saw my pale, light skin, and vibrant blue orbs. I gazed longingly at my slim shoulders and waist, and my round hips, supple, full breasts and my light, honey brown hair tumbling round my shoulders in delicate, undulating waves. My thin legs and proud thigh gap. Aww gosh! I'm so ugly!

Bish be quiet.

Pale, light skin? Do you know how many people in Africa would kill  just to have that skin so they can get a damn job?

Round full hips? Some people with their body types get described as an inverted triangle.

But that's not the only issue.

Whenever editors read a manuscript they internally groan from mental anguish when they have to go through the agonising details of the character's features in the mirror.

It works a lot better when you just reveal little snippets gradually.

IM TIRED.
