With poison on your lips
Only when it's over
The silence hits so hard

'Cause it was almost love, it was almost love
It was almost love, it was almost love

3rd P.O.V

The door creaked open, waking Ellie up. She didn't move and waited for the potential attacker to act. When the door slammed shut, she sat up and looked at Sam, instantly calming down.

"Dammit, Sam." She swore, falling back on her bed and covering her eyes.

"Morning, sunshine." Sam exclaimed sarcastically.

"What time is it?" Dean groaned. He had been on the bed next to hers as she had been sharing a bed with Sam. It was normal for them and completely sibling-like.

"Uh, it's about five forty-five." Sam replied, looking outside.

"In the morning?" Dean asked in disbelief.

"Yep." Sam nodded.

"Where does the day go?" Dean sarcastically asked. "Did you get any sleep last night?" He then asked groggily.

"Yeah, I grabbed a couple hours." Sam said.

"Liar. 'Cause I was up at three, and you were watching a George Foreman infomercial." Dean said, sitting up.

Ellie took off her arm from her face and lifted her head.

"And I was up at 2:30 and you were watching a documentary about H. H. Holmes, which was fascinating, by the way." Ellie said, before letting her arm droop back in her head.

"Hey, what can I say? It's riveting TV." Sam defended himself, raising his arms which held coffee and breakfast.

"When was the last time you got a good night's sleep?" Dean asked.

"I don't know, a little while, I guess. It's not a big deal." Sam shrugged it off

"Yeah, it is." Ellie said.

"Look, I appreciate your concern–"

"Oh, I'm not concerned about you. It's your job to keep my ass alive, just as it is Ellie's to keep your ass alive, so I need you sharp." Dean cut Sam off.

"Yeah, I can't keep your ass alive if your too tired to even defend yourself." Ellie said, but made no move to get up.

"Seriously, are you still having nightmares about Jess?" Dean asked seriously.

Sam sighed before going over and sitting on his and Ellie's bed. Ellie grinned but moved over.

"Yeah." He said. "But it's not just her. It's everything. I just forgot, you know? This job. Man, it gets to you."
