3rd P.O.V

The Impala parles on 9 miles road. The three got out of the car and Dean opened the trunk, giving Sam a shotgun.

"Here you go." He told his little brother. "Sorry, Ellie, you'll have to wait for your turn."

Ellie rolled her eyes.

"Anyways, if it is a spirit, buckshot won't do much good." She noted, taking the Gun and checking it. She pursued her lips in an impression manner. "Rock salt." She mused. "Impressive."

Dean smirked. "Why, thank you, lil sis."

"Huh." Sam also hummed. "Salt being a spirit deterrent."

"Yeah. It won't kill 'em. But it'll slow 'em down." The big brother said after closing the trunk of the Impala.

They started walking in between trees.

"That's pretty good." Sam commented. "You and Dad think of this?"

"I told you. You don't have to be a college graduate to be a genius." Dean countered.

They heard noise coming from the trees and stopped walking. Sam pointed his gun and looked around.

"Over there. Over there."

Sam aimes and waited for the thing to move. A silhouette appeared from the trees. It was a sheriff.

"Put the gun down now! Now! Put your hands behind your head." He telles at the tree.

"W-w-wait, okay, okay!" Dean said.

Oh god, seriously?

Shut up, Kuriel.

"Now get down on your knees. Come on, do it! On your knees!" They did and held up their hands. "Now get down on your bellies. Come on, do it!"

"He had the gun!" Dean protested.

They laid down.

"Next time, I'll make the plan and handle the Gun, okay?" Ellie whispered to her brothers.

Sam, Dean and Ellie exited the Sheriff's station.

"Saved your ass!" Dean exclaimed. "Talked the sheriff down to a fine. Dude, I am Matlock."

"But how?" Sam asked.

"I told him you were a dumbass pledge and that we were hazing you." Dean explained, pointing to himself and Ellie.

"What about the shotgun?" The little brother asked.

Ellie smiled.

"I said that you were hunting ghosts and the spirits were repelled by rock salt." She said.

Sam rose a brow and Dean shrugged.

"You know, typical Hell Week prank." He said.

"And he believed you two?" Sam asked.

"Well, you look like a dumbass pledge." Dean replied, looking at Sam.

The moment Dean finished his sentence, cops came out of the station and raced to their police cars. The three exchange de glances and Dean's phone rang.

They parked a bit further from the sorority house that was raided by cops and went to the bakc of it. Then, they entêtes the propriety.

"Why would the Hook Man come here?" Sam asked. "This is a long way from 9 Mile Road."

"Maybe he's not haunting the scene of his crime." Dean suggested. "Maybe it's about something else." Two girls came out of the house, but didn't see the three hiding on the side. "Dude, sorority girls! Think we'll see a naked pillow fight?" Ellie glared at him and hit the back of his head. "Oh, sorry!"

They turned around and saw Sam who was climbing up to the balcony. Dean helped him by pushing his foot upward, the he also climbed. Ellie stayed at the bottom and waited for what she knew was coming. Seconds later, she heard grunted of pain from both of the boys.

"Be quiet." Sam hissed.

"You be quiet!" Dean hissed back.

"You be quiet!" Sam repeated.

"Both of you be quiet!" Ellie whisper-shouted at them once she finally climbed up.

In the room, Sam opened the door to see a Sheriff exit the bedroom. He waited for him to be gone and then opened the door. They entered the bedroom. They saw some writing on the wall and Ellie examined it.

"'Aren't you glad you didn't turn on the light?'" She read. "That's right out of the legend."

"Yeah, that's classic Hook Man all right." Dean said and tapped at his nose. "It's definitely a spirit."

"Yeah, I've never smelled ozone this strong before." Ellie nodded.

Dean went to the window and looked around.

"Hey, come here." Sam called them out. They came over. "Does that look familiar to you?"

The symbol was of a cross.

The three were now sitting on the Impala, looking at a copy of a cross on a Hook.

"It's the same symbol." Sam said. "Seems like it is the spirit of Jacob Karns."

"All right, let's find the dude's grave, salt and burn the bones, and put him down." Dean said.

"'After execution, Jacob Karns was laid to rest in an Old North Cemetery. In an unmarked grave.'" Ellie read off of the paper.

They sighed.

"Super." Dean commented.

"Okay." Ellie started. "So we know it's Jacob Karns. But we still don't know where he'll manifest next. Or why."

"I'll take a wild guess about why. I think your little friend Lori has something to do with this." Dean said.

They entered the car.

At a college party, Dean joined Sam and Ellie.

"Man, you've been holding out on me. This college thing is awesome!" He exclaimed.

He smiled at a girl pausing in front of him.

"This wasn't really my experience." Sam said and Ellie nodded in agreement.

"Let me guess. Libraries, studying, straight A's?" Dean guessed and the other two nodded. "What a bunch of geeks. Alright, you do your homework?"

"Yeah. It was bugging me, right? So how is the Hook Man tied up with Lori? So I think I came up with something." Sam said, showing a piece of paper.

"1932. Clergyman arrested for murder. 1967. Seminarian held in hippie rampage." Dean read.

"There's a pattern here." Ellie explained.  "In both cases, the suspect was a man of religion who openly preached against immorality. And then found himself wanted for killings he claimed were the work of an invisible force. Killings carried out– get this– with a sharp instrument."

"What's the connection to Lori?" Dean asked.

"A man of religion? Who openly preaches against immorality?" Sam reminded him and Dean realized what this was about. "Except maybe this time, instead of saving the whole town, he's just trying to save his only daughter."

"Reverend Sorensen." Dean stated. "You think he's summoning the spirit?"

"Maybe." Ellie shrugged. "Or, you know how a poltergeist can haunt a person instead of a place?"

"Yeah, the spirit latches onto the reverend's repressed emotions, feeds off them, yeah, okay." Dean nodded.

"Without the reverend ever even knowing it." Sam continued.

"Either way, you should keep an eye on Lori tonight." Dean said.

"What about you?" Sam asked.

Dean looked at a girl who was smiling at him at a pool table. He sighed.

"I'm gonna go see if I can find that unmarked grave." He looked at the girl again, disappointed. "And Ellie, toute coming with."
