We bleed ourselves in vain
How tragic is this game?
Turn around, I'm holding on to someone
But the love is gone

3rd P.O.V

As Dean was researching on his computer, Sam was drawing a tree in his bed and Ellie was reading a book that was surprisingly not lore.

"All right. I've been cruisin' some websites." Dean started. "I think I found a few candidates for our next gig. A fishing trawler found off the coast of Cali- its crew vanished. And, uh, we got some cattle mutilations in West Texas." Dean stopped as he noticed no one was listening to him. "Hey. Am I boring you two with this hunting evil stuff?"

"No. I'm listening. Keep going." Sam said.

"Nah, but the book's more interesting." Ellie shrugged. "So, keep going, cattle mutilations? Sounds like fun." She said boringly.

Dean rolled his eyes and ignored her.

"And, here, a Sacramento man shot himself in the head. Three times." Dean waved his hand trying to get the other two's attention. "Any of these things blowin' up your skirts?"

"Wait. I've seen this." Sam said, looking at the drawing.

Ellie looked up from her book.

"Seen what? What are you doing?" Dean asked.

Sam showed him his drawing with a flick of his wrist while thinking. Ellie frowned, she did not remember the tree.

That's cause you weren't with them yet, honey.

Ellie rolled her eyes at Kuriel's annoying voice.

Sam suddenly stood up and started looking through his bag. Dean looked at Ellie, confused.

"What's he doing?" He asked her.

She shrugged, closing her book as Samfound a family pictire in his dad's journal. He compared the tree in the picture to the one he drew. They were the same.

"I know where we have to go next." Sam announced, turning around to look at the other two.

"Where?" Dean asked.

"Back home- back to Kansas."

Ellie's eyes widened. The boys never really talked about Kansas. This case would hit a little too close to home for them. Especially Dean.

"Okay, random." Dean stated. "Where'd that come from?"

"All right, um, this photo was taken in front of our old house, right?" He asked his brother, showing him the picture. "The house where Mom died?"

"Yeah."

"And it didn't burn down, right? I mean, not completely, they rebuilt it, right?"

"I guess so, yeah."

"Sam," Ellie interrupted and he looked at her. "Where are you going with this?"

"Okay, look, this is gonna sound crazy but.... the people who live in our old house- I think they might be in danger." Sam explained.

Ellie took the picture from Sam's hand and upon touching in she saw flashes, a mom, her kids, fire, the house.

"He's right." She announced, standing up.

"Wait, what?" Dean said incredulously.

"Look, Dean, just trust me on this." Sam said.

"Wait, whoa, whoa, trust you?" But Sam ignored Dean and started to pack his things up, Dean followed his brother while Ellie packed her own stuff.
