To Mom : Not really. I've got something to tell you and you must promise not to freak out. I'd rather not tell you like this but it's too long until I see you in person again xx
From Mom : Now you're scaring me, what's wrong?x
To Mom : I had a baby xx
From Mom : What? That's not funny, Demi. I actually thought something was wrong x
To Mom : I'm being serious, mom. I had a baby boy. I didn't know I was pregnant but he's absolutely perfect xx
From Mom : I don't believe you.

Placing her phone on the table Demi smiles slightly as she glances back down at the baby.
'What am I going to do with you, little one? I just wasn't expecting you.' She says softly as her phone begins to ring. Glancing down at it she sighs as 'mom' flashes up on the screen; she's not ready for a lecture so leaning down she chooses to decline the call before turning her attention back to the baby.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
'Can I come in?' Linda asks and Demi nods her head. She watches the short blonde nurse make her way into the room and place a clipboard on the table.
'How are you feeling?' Linda asks.
'Good, a lot better than yesterday. I managed to properly feed him this morning.' Demi replies causing Linda to smile.
'That's really good. I spoke to the doctor and he said that if you feel comfortable with it then you can go home this afternoon.' Linda says and Demi smiles.
'Really? That would be amazing.' Demi replies and Linda nods her head.
'I can get the paperwork written up for you then. Do you have someone to drive you home and stay with you until your incision has fully healed.' Linda asks.
'Yep. My friend Kelsey is going to stay with me.' Demi replies.
'That's good. I'll get that written up and you should be able to leave around 3pm.' Linda says scribbling something down on the clipboard before leaving the room. Grabbing her phone Demi sighs as she glances down at her unread text.
From Mom : Why didn't you answer your phone? I need to speak to you if this is true.
To Mom : It is true. I just sent you a picture, what more do you want? I'll phone you when I get home xx

'Hey... I hope you don't mind but someone tagged along.' Joe says pulling Nick into the room behind him. Glancing up at the pair Demi sighs as she lifts the baby against her shoulder.
'Demi, I-' Nick begins.
'Please, don't... I'm exhausted, Nick. I spent night looking after our son because you're not ready to be a dad and that's okay. It's okay that you're not ready but you don't get come in her and make up excuses. People didn't know we were dating and that's the way it'll stay; as far as the public will be concerned this baby is mine.' Demi says running her hand down the newborn's back.
'A-Are you giving him my name?' Nick asks causing her to laugh.
'Why the hell would I give him your name when you're not going to be involved.' She replies as Kelsey lifts the carseat onto the bed.
'Do you have anything you need taken down to the car?' Joe asks and Demi nods her head.
'Those bags.' Demi replies and Joe pats Nick's shoulder.
'Lets go.' Joe says. They grab the bags and leave the room as Kelsey helps Demi strap the baby into his carseat.
'How are you feeling about Nick?' Kelsey asks and Demi shrugs her shoulders.
'I don't really care at the moment. I just want to get home and try get some sleep.' Demi replies.
'Okay.' Kelsey says quietly.

'Home sweet home, baby boy.' Demi says as she lifts her son into her arms.
'Have you decided on a name for him yet?' Kelsey asks.
'Tobias Patrick Jonas-Lovato; Toby for short.' Demi replies causing Kelsey to smile.
'Perfect name for him. I still can't quite believe you've got a baby.' Kelsey says and Demi laughs.
'Neither can I, Kels. It's crazy because I didn't know I was pregnant and I wasn't expecting him but I already love him so much. I was looking at him this morning and I just- I don't know what I'd do with him.' Demi replies.
'You're an amazing mom already, Dems. I think Nick will come around when he's had a chance to get his head around things but with or without him that is one very lucky little boy to have you.' Kelsey says.
