'I'll get him, babe. There's a bottle downstairs that I just need to heat up; you go back to sleep.' Nick says placing his hand on Demi's shoulder as Tobias begins to whimper.

'You sure? What if he doesn't take the bottle? We said we were going to wait and try it during the day?' She asks sleepily.

'You're exhausted, Dems. If he doesn't take the bottle I'll bring him back in and you can feed him but let's just try this and if he takes it I'll do the rest of the night feeds.' He says and she nods her head.

'Okay.' She replies. Settling back down down against the pillows Demi smiles as she watches Nick climb out of bed and make his way over to the bassinet.

'Hey, little man... Lets go get you some milk.' He says softly as he lifts Tobias into his arms. He smiles slightly as Demi before quietly leaving the room.

Groaning slightly Demi gets out of bed and slowly begins to make her way out of the bedroom in search of Nick and Tobias; it's been nearly an hour since he left the bedroom to go feed Tobias. She makes her way downstairs and into the living room where her heart aches at the sight in front of her.

'Nick...' She says softly running her hand down his arm. He mumbles slightly causing her to smile as she lifts Tobias into her arms.

'Come back to bed, Nick.' She says. Opening his eyes he smiles slightly as she glances down at him.

'Did he take the bottle?' She asks as he sits up and runs his hand over his face.

'Yeah, the whole thing. He spit up a little bit but other than that it was fine.' He replies standing up. Smiling she slides her hand into his and turns to make her way back upstairs pulling him behind her.

'If you're going to fall asleep down here every time you attempt a night feed I think we'll just stick to me doing them.' She says softly.

Glancing at the clock on the bedside table Demi sighs as it flashes 5:23am; Nick did do all the night feeds like he said but she still woke up so she ended up getting just as much sleep as she would've done if she done them herself.

'You are so like your daddy...' Demi whispers as she glances down at Tobias who is happily nursing. Grabbing her phone she smiles and instantly begins to upload a picture she'd taken a few days earlier.

'You okay?' Nick mumbles sleepily as he throws his arm across Demi's thighs causing her to smile.

'I'm fine, babe... Go back to sleep.' She replies.

'What time is it?' He asks.

'Half five.' She replies.

'Why aren't you sleeping?' He asks.

'Toby woke up... Go to sleep, Nick. We can talk later.' She replies.

'I've got plans for us today so don't arrange anything.' He says and she nods her head.

'Okay; just go to sleep.' She replies smiling slightly. Having Tobias was definitely a huge shock for both of them but Demi can honestly say she's never felt so content.

'Can I post this to Instagram. You can kinda see his face in it but it's so cute?' Nick asks as he holds his phone out to Demi who's fastening Tobias into his carseat.

'Of course.' Demi replies smiling. She watches him type away on his phone before her phone vibrates and she begins to read his post.

nickjonas : I never knew my life was missing something until now. ddlovato you have given me more than I could've ever wished for and I'll forever be grateful for you both.

'You are far too adorable.' Demi says smiling as she likes the post and slides her phone into her pocket.

'Is there anything you need to get today?' Nick asks lifting the carseat into his arms.

'I need to get some nursing clothes.' She replies smiling slightly. She grabs the diaper bag and they make their way out to the car.

'Okay. I was thinking and I think I'm going to get Toby's footprints tattooed on me.' He says securing the carseat into the base.

'Yeah? I want to get one as well but once he stops nursing.' She replies.

'Where are we going?' She asks.

'It's a surprise.' He replies.

'I don't like surprises.' She mumbles causing him to smile.

'You'll like this one, I promise.' He says.

I'm so sorry I haven't updated I don't really have excuse other than I've had a really shit weekend which included two funerals in the one day. I hope you enjoy this chapter though and I'd be interested to hear what you guys think Nick's surprise is.
