I sat in front of the door awaiting it's opening. I felt fear, fear that I would die soon. Why did I pick rock? I was going to die and all I could do was wait for my death.
I heard the announcer speak, her voice booming in my ears.
"All commands have been entered! The doors will now open."
I heard a click noise coming from the door. I stood up and pushed it open, still awaiting my fate.
I saw the other 14 contestants leave through their doors as well. Hikari rushed over to me.
Hikari: "You chose paper, right?"
I was silent. There was nothing I could say.
Hikari: "You... you betrayed me."
Beth: "No... I betrayed myself."
Hikari looked at me with a confused expression.
Hikari: "What?"
Beth: "I'm going to die soon."
I felt tears well up in my eyes. I felt my chest start to tighten, my heart pounding loudly and quickly.
Hikari: "So you chose rock then."
I nodded.
Hikari: "Why?! Why would you do that?!"
She looked at me angrily. An anger that surpassed her expression when she thought I betrayed her.
Hikari: "Did you think I was going to betray you?"
Her anger developed into sadness. Her voice sounding hurt, like I insulted her.
Beth: "I pressed it by accident. I fell."
Hikari just looked at me with a blank expression, like she couldn't comprehend what I just said.
Hikari: "You just... fell?"
Beth: "Yes..."
Hikari was silent.
Hikari "How did you even-"
Super annoying voice: "I'M BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK~"
Zero: "Sup Lume."
Lumiere: "HEY! I give the nicknames here."
Lumiere: "I bet you're all DYING to hear the results."
Sol: "Wait did you just make a pu-"
Lumiere: "AAAAAAAAAAND THE RESULTS ARE IN! PLEASE CHECK THE MONITOR HERE!"
Lumiere pointed to a monitor in the corner of the room. On it displayed the results.

After the results screen I heard very loud shouting. Particularly from Cherry.
CHERRY!!!: "ARE YOU INSANEEEEEE!? WHY WOULD YOU KILL ME!!! WHAT BENEFIT WOULD IT HAVE FOR YOU!! YOU'RE A MONSTER!"
Her screams were deafening. If this were a book, her name would be in all caps with an exclamation mark or three right now.
Zero: "Hate the game not the player. I just followed the rules like any good person does."
CHERRY!!!: "YOU WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-"
I don't think there are enough A's for how loud CHERRY!!! was right now.
While she was screaming at Zero, Scarlet and Jack started arguing.
Scarlet: "Why didn't you vote?"
Jack: "Because if I did, I felt like I would've been tempted to choose scissors. I'd rather die than kill another person."
Scarlet: "Do... do you know how idiotic that way of thinking is? You know we BOTH could've lived if you chose paper right?"
Jack: "But even then, there was still a chance that you'd die. I'd rest easy knowing that I hadn't harmed anyone."
Lumiere pulled out a handkerchief from his coat pocket and started sobbing.
Lumiere: "It's so beautiful. He... he'd throw his life away to protect another meaningless life. Really it's so touching..."
He threw his handkerchief behind him and it made a small explosion upon landing to the ground. Spontaneously, he reverted back to his annoying personality.
Lumiere: "BUUUUUUUUUT you still gotta die. Sorry, them's the rules. I don't make them. OH. WAIT. I DO. HAHAHAHAHAHAH."
His laugh made me a little bit more at ease with dying to be honest.
Lumiere: "WELP. HAVE FUN IN THE AFTERLIFE YOU THREE."
CHERRY!!!: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-"
Oh yeah, CHERRY!!! made me feel okay with dying as well. Seriously, her scream was headache inducing.
While she was still screaming, Lumiere touched her forehead and she fell backwards. Once her head reached the ground though, her entire body burst into light, and like that, she was gone. Dead.
Luna fainted, as expected of her at this point honestly.
Lumiere: "Sorry! I was gonna make a pun about cherry-picking but I decided her scream was WAY too annoying. And that's coming from me!"
Zero: "When your antagonist is self-aware."
Lumiere: "OKIE TIME FOR JACK TO DIE NOW."
Jack: "Okay can I at least say a few-"
Lumiere: "NOP."
Lumiere touched Jack's forehead, and the same thing happened. He fell backwards, and when his head reached the ground, he burst into light.
Lumiere: "KAYO BETH NOW."
I didn't really know what to say. I mean there wasn't much to say at that point. I had only known these people for a little while, so saying goodbye wasn't all that tough.
Beth: "Goodbye everyone."
I smiled and waved to them.
Beth: "And good luck."
I felt Lumiere's hand on my forehead, I felt a burning feeling starting from my head going down to my heart. I felt my body fall. Slowly. Like the world was in slow motion.
Like time almost...
Stopped.
Suddenly I felt myself rising.
I felt my body going back up.
I felt Lumiere's hand on my forehead again, and then pulling it away.
My face turned into a smile.
My hand started to wave.
Faster and faster time was reversing.
Like a movie was rewinding.
Or like how you read a story to chapter 5 or so and suddenly you're back at the-
