Mahale: "What are you talking about? I didn't kill anyone! Neither did Sol. We were both downstairs the entire morning."

Scarlet: "Perhaps, but you were up and about during nightfall, which is exactly the time Artemis died."

Mahale: "...We weren't up. At least, I wasn't. I was asleep."

Scarlet: "Then what reason would you have to lie like that?"

Mahale: "...Lie?"

Scarlet: "About hearing Artemis. If she died last night, then how on earth could you have heard her this morning?"

Mahale: "How do you know she died last night?"

Scarlet: "The blood is dry. If she had died this morning it would still be fresh."

Mahale: "...What? Sol, help me out here."

Sol: "I dunno... I think they got us."

Mahale: "What are you talking about?"

Sol: "Let's just confess. It'll be easier for everyone."

Mahale: "But... we didn't..."

Sol: "Stop fighting Mahale. We're the murderers."

Mahale: "No... we..."

Sol: "Remember? You had the gun, and went into Apollo's room to kill him. I followed Artemis up into the attic, and I strangled her. We're cold-blooded murderers, so just accept it."

Mahale: "I'M NOT A MURDERER!!!"

Everyone was silent. Tears were streaming down my face.

Scarlet: "I ask you to refrain from yelling. I'm currently battling a tremendous headache. If you think playing ignorance is going to get you anywhere, it's not. I shall let the rest of you quarrel amongst yourselves to determine a suitable punishment as I retreat to my chambers."

Scarlet elegantly bowed and went back inside.

Everyone just stared at me, frightened. They probably thought I was insane, but I wasn't. I wasn't insane. I wasn't insane. I wasn't insane. I wasn't insane. I wasn't insane. I wasn't insane. I wasn't insane. I wasn't insane. I wasn't insane. I wasn't insane. I wasn't insane.

The thought repeated in my head until I went insane, and I did what any rational insane person would do. I quickly patted my body to see if I was carrying anything, and sure enough, I found it. A gun. I checked to see if it had any bullets, and it did. Three of them. I started laughing uncontrollably. I wasn't insane. I wasn't insane. I wasn't insane. I wasn't insane.

Sol: "This might not be the time but... Beth... weren't your eyes brown? They're purple now."

I brought the gun to my head.

I pulled the trigger.

The trigger that would send me back.

Back to where I had a chance.

A chance to find the killer.

The killer.

The killer.

Find the killer.

Destroy them.

End their life.

And then, go back.

Go back to destroy them again.

Destroy them so no version of them will ever exist in any world ever.
