"Why did you make this world so imperfect again?" A young boy asked. I don't quite remember exactly how his voice sounded. It was like... he already knew the answer, yet he still wondered what he would say.

Another voice spoke sounding a bit too casual for the subject at hand.

"Well, where's the fun in that? If I made this world perfect and amazing and all that then there's nothing else to hope for."

"Then why didn't you create hope differently?"

"I can't do that. I'm only human."

"Human? Really? I thought you were God!"

"Just because I created everything here doesn't mean I'm God."

"There are multiple worlds?"

"No. Just one."

"Then... you are God."

"Not exactly. This isn't REALLY a world."

"Then what is a world?"

After he asked that last question, I saw the other person talk, but no sound came out. Then I woke up.

"Huh. That's... kinda freaky to be honest. So, do you think he's God or whatever?" Lana asked me. She actually looked invested in our conversation. "No I don't think that's it. I mean, he denied it so-"

"He definitely wasn't." Veraz looked at me with a stoic expression. "I've seen him myself and he would never act so informal." Lana reached over to the radio and switched the music. "Awww, but I liked that song!" The song was written by my favorite pop artist, C.C.

"Sorry, I'm in a competition against her so I'd rather not listen to her music right now." Lana quickly tried to change the subject. "Anyway, how was the plane ride when you weren't dreaming about philosophical sh-...stuff." "Oh, it was nice! The person riding next to me was really kind." I was a bit frightened about the trip, but I knew it wasn't polite to complain about something given to you. Lana paid for my flight and even put me in first class!

"What about that stain on your sweater?" Lana asked me. "Oh it's not a big deal. The person next to me was drinking some orange juice and accidentally spilled a bit on me." Lana turned to look at me. "A bit!? It's all over you!" "EYES ON THE ROAD!" Veraz began to reach for the wheel. "Sorry! Jeez, chill! I know what I'm doing!" "Dammit, Lana! You're gonna get us killed one day!" "Stop shouting in my car!" Lana let out an annoyed sigh. "Whatever. I'm over it now. Let's just get Mahale to-" Lana's cellphone began to start buzzing loudly. She quickly glanced over at it. "Oh shhh-oot." Lana began to pull over. "What!? What's wrong!?" Veraz grabbed her phone from the cup holder in the front seat. "You have a show in 15 minutes!? Why didn't you tell me!?" "I forgot okay!? I thought it was scheduled tonight! Not this afternoon!" I realized that they would have to leave immediately if they wanted to make it. I looked over to the street sign to the right of the car. "Guys, we're on Hill Street! My new house is just around the corner, I think. If you drop me off here, you can still make it!" Lana looked over in my direction. "Really? You're okay with that?" "Of course I am! Let me just quickly grab my things from the trunk."

"I got it." Veraz said. He took my suitcase out from Lana's car and gave it to me. He closed the trunk and quickly ran back to his seat. "Bye Lana!" She drove off the opposite direction we were heading. I started dragging my suitcase over down to the crosswalk. "Okay, just have to cross and then I'm at my new home! I wonder what Zeir is like. I mean, I've talked to him on voice chat but I don't think I've ever actually seen his face..." I brought out my phone and started texting my brother, Kai. "Going to the new house now. If I don't call you in 20 minutes, call the cops." I put my phone in the front pocket of my jeans. I started to cross the road and then I heard a car driving dangerously fast across from me. It swerved and miraculously didn't crash into any cars but it was heading straight toward me. I knew it was going to hit me, but I didn't move. I wasn't scared. Like, I didn't feel any urgency at all. Almost as if I knew I would be alright somehow. My eyes turned from brown to white. I felt my eyes burning. Time seemed to almost stop. The car moved very, very slowly toward me, but I still didn't move. I just looked at it, wondering what would happen if I let it hit me.

So, I waited.

Then it hit me.

Then I died.

And then, I woke up.
