There once was a king who had a wife.

The wife was unhappy with everything.

She was forced into a marriage with a tyrant all for money.

The king was unhappy because she was unhappy and vowed to make her smile.

There was an ugly village man who made money by showing his burned face.

His misfortune led to a fortune of gold. The king offered 600 gold to make him the castles personal fool.

The king ordered the fool to make his queen laugh, something the king was unable to do for 10 long years.

The fool sat in front of her and she cracked a wide smile. The king roared in pleasure paying the fool whatever he wanted in order to keep the queen happy.

The fool and the queen talked for hours and hours a day, making her laugh as much as she possibly could.

One day the queen suggested they run away and elope, start a family on the other side of the ocean.

The fool knew he would lose all of his wealth, but he agreed anyway.

One night after the king was in a deep slumber, the queen untied a horse, lowered the gates and grabbed the fool. They rode for hours that night, talking to each other about the lives they would lead.

But as they got farther away she began to glow slightly. Or everything around her was getting darker. She felt light m, as if she was weightless

They decided to set up camp until she was feeling better, more and more hours passed but there was no sign of any sunlight. Her condition was rapidly getting worse.

The kings guards followed at a safe distance and found the travelers just a few miles from the castle. They pointed bows at the man and he began to tremble.

The faint light from the tent grew brighter and brighter.

Guards assumed it was am oil lamp and shot at it hoping it would explode and kill the fool.

They shot the queen, a hole in her chest where her heart would be.

She didn't fall when she died, she levitated off of the ground and shot into the sky where the sun then grew, stretching a blinding white light on everything. The guards watched and noticed a red hole on the sun.

They were killed of mysterious causes soon after.

The fool would bring leaves and remedies to her final resting place hoping that one day she would be better and return to him.

His naivety ultimately led to his death
