No way. You had finally gotten a part in a movie that people claimed was going to be a big box office hit. You had been working as a minor character on a middle of the pack TV show and now you had been recognized as a true star and had gotten your first big gig, things couldn't have been better. But actually they could.
It was your first day one set and everything looked amazing. The sets we just incredible and everyone there, from the producers, to the writers, to the set designers were so nice. You still hadn't met your other co-stars but there would be a pre-reading so everyone would be introduced there.
The whole night before you couldn't stop what new people you would be working with. Would they be funny? Would they be serious? Would they be attractive? All of these questions and more drifted around in your head as you fell into a peaceful slumber.
The next morning you quickly dressed in some comfy, but stylish, clothing and headed out the door to catch a cab to the building where the first reading was going to be held. Arriving you saw a group of people already there, including the director who you had met the day before. He introduced you to all the cast members already there and everyone was gracious and polite.
Slowly more people began trickling in and among a group of them you spotted a very familiar face. It was none other than the internationally famous Benedict Cumberbatch. He was just as handsome and stylish as all the magazines, tv shows, movies, and other media made him look. His hair was black and you noticed his ever changing eyes from across the room.
He noticed you staring and smiled at you warmly. You looked away, abashed, but through your hair you could see his tall figure making its way over to you. "Hello, I'm Benedict," he said and held out his hand for you to shake. "I know who you are, I'm (y/n) (y/l/n)," you replied warmly, but still a little shy. "I've been told that this is your first big production," Benedict said. "You were told right, I've done a few minor roles on TV shows and small roles in movies, but nothing to the scale of being a main character," you said. "It can be overwhelming," Benedict replied.
After several more minutes of chatting it was time for the read through. It went smoothly and you knew you would be loving the part you had been cast for. As you were walking out of the building a large hand caught your arm. "Wait, (y/n), if you ever want to run lines or need some advice I'll be willing to help," Benedict said, and with that he handed you a piece of paper with some numbers on it. "I think you know what to do from here," Benedict said. He leaned down and gave you a gentle peck on the cheek. You blushed and from that moment on you knew you were going to need a lot of help with this whole acting thing.
