Chapter 17 (Part 1): "Don't thank me yet."

The Rogue's POV

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After I read the note that I found in that girl's bedroom, I immediately hulled my ass to Dell'Antonio's office.
No way in hell was that bitch leaving me, and there is no damn way that I am getting on the wrong side of the famous and powerful Adam Dell'Antonio.
I knock on the door to his office which is adjacent to the lounge the guards use, and it connects with the main entrance.
So he's right up front if anyone ever tries to break in.
"Come in," I hear Dell'Antonio's gruff voice demand.
I come in and he looks up at me for a split second before looking back at his computer.
"What the hell do you want, Gregory," he asked demandingly.
I was almost half-considered to just walk out of the office without telling him anything.
Only half-considered, though.
I told him then my voice low and deep, "Sir the girl is going to try to escape."
He then let out a harsh laugh and said, "You really don't think I know she's planning to escape. God, Gregory, you are not the brightest."
Anger licked at me inside threatening to tell him to go to hell, but for once I controlled it.
"I mean," I started, "I have conformation that the girl and her little merry band of friends are working together to get her out."
Dell'Antonio pulled his gaze away to look at me, "I didn't know that."
Well no shit! You're to goddamn stupid to search the little bitches room. Stupid ass.
"Yes, Sir," I said holding what I REALLY wanted to say inside.
"What were you doing in her room, Gregory?" he asked me.
"Looking for her," I admitted.
He smiled then and looked down to the floor in thought.
He rubbed the stubble on his chin and looked back up to meet my gaze, "When?"
I took a deep breath and told him, "Now."
And then the windows from outside the compound shattered.
Aubrey's POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I was sitting in my room on the bed when all of a sudden I heard men shouting very loudly from outside my door.

Only seconds after that I heard a loud wailing alarm come on with flashing red lights, flashing red reflections then appeared on the floor of my room.

They're here.

Thank God.

A guard then opens the door to my room and roughly grabs my arm and pulls me out.

We run down the hall with the guard having a firm grip on my arm in front of me, pulling me along.

We run into the elevator having another guard join us.

We then go up to Level A.

The doors open to Level A, and it looks like a mass war.

Bodies litter the floor, and blood coats everything.
