Eli opened his eyes slowly as the ceiling met his gaze. He glanced to the left to find Aria still cuddled into him. Her arm was slung across his chest with her legs intertwined with his. He had a slight rise of morning wood which her knee was gently pressing on, giving him an odd sensation. She was still fast asleep, even as a vampire, she was soft and warm to him; despite feeling cold to everyone else. He took a deep inhale before feeling his gums twinge with pain as he was close to frenzy. He stopped and took a few deep breaths until he was calm. Once he was, he glanced at the clock. It was still early but a part of him knew he would have to get up soon. He sighed and began rubbing his fingertips up and down Aria's forearm in the hopes of waking her up.
Aria's eyes opened slightly, everything was blurry but she was at that inbetween stage where she could doze back off. She was so comfortable, she just wanted to rest a little longer. But the more Eli rubbed her arm, the more she awoke and the more tingly she got below the waist. She groaned and sat up, slowly.
"Good morning, baby," cooed Eli, as Aria rested her head against the headboard, "You can go back to sleep but I just wanted to see you awake before I go,"
He leaned over slowly and pecked her lips, gently, taking care not to bite her lip her again.
"What day is it?" asked Aria, licking her lips after he pulled away.
"Monday," answered Eli, sliding his legs over the side of the bed.
"I might as well go then too," said Aria, scooting to the edge of the bed.
"You can have the bathroom first then," said Eli, watching her get up and stretch her arms.
He wished he could just stay here all day, well...He could, but he had something important to do. Aria headed towards the door as Eli headed to his wardrobe and looked for what he was gonna wear before bending down and lifting a bottle of blood from the fridge at his desk."Is there a difference in bottled and bagged?" asked Aria, standing at the door, "Do they taste different?"
Eli unscrewed the cap, "Bottled is animal. Bagged is human, but it's old and donated so it's not fresh but just enough to keep everything at bay,"
Aria held her hand out as he took a swig of the bottle, "Does it do what it's supposed to?"
Eli swallowed, "Yeah, it hits the right spots and nobody gets hurt,"She took the bottle from him and nodded, "You know, you never properly asked me out,"
"I thought it was a given, I mean we shared blood and even now we're probably sharing Bambi's," smirked Eli, "Careful though, you've only had fresh before. Remember that bag Steven gave you, yeah, you might not like animal right away,"
Aria raised the bottle to her lips and took a long sip, she swallowed without coughing it back up in disgust. She drank more as Eli watched her. What she was drinking was nothing compared to the real thing...Or what she tasted like. He could feel his fangs, desperate to reveal themselves. He could feel a shallow pulsing in his underwear too as he watched.
Aria removed the now-half-empty bottle from her lips, which were stained with the dark colour, and handed it back, "You may need to give me a lift home, I've not got any shoes,"Eli smirked and nodded as there was a knock at the wooden door, "Come in,"
"Ah, you're both up. Good morning, Aria, Eli," smiled Steven, entering the room.
They both smiled at him in acknowledgement.
"I'm about to cook something for breakfast and wondered if there was anything either of you really wanted today?" asked Steven, looking from Aria to Eli and back again.
Aria glanced at Eli. She wanted more blood, "I'll just have whatever you have, Steven,"
She took a step forward and linked arms with the older man, "Walk me?"Eli chuckled loudly as Steven led her down the stairs.
They were nearly at the kitchen when Steven spoke, "So, did you sleep well?"
Aria nodded. Then that was the end of it.Steven sat Aria down at the breakfast bar before sliding her a plate of toast and then turning to the cooker.
He just put a plate of bacon in front of her when Eli entered the kitchen, looking like a model.
Aria's heart jumped a little as her eyes focussed on him. He gently kissed her on her forehead. He got a plate of his own food and then sat next to her.It pleased her, slightly, that he was proud to show affection in front of other people.
Steven glanced from Aria to Eli who were both sitting in silence, "So what are your plans for today?"
Eli glared at Steven. Aria shrugged.
"Aria, do you ever wear any jewellery?" asked Steven, glancing down at a stone ring on his right, middle finger.
Aria shook her head, "Sometimes necklaces but rarely,"
"Okay, Steven, we're going now," interrupted Eli before Steven could give off anything else.An hour later, Aria was at home, tidying up her kitchen and wondered why Eli felt the need to check on her because Steven saw someone floating around the block. She couldn't think of anyone who would come for her in anyway whatsoever. She didn't like the idea of Steven checking on her either.
