Steven sat on Eli's bed as Eli watched him from his desk with a smug smile. He liked spending time with Eli but not when Eli was watching him like en episode of 'Friends'. He knew Eli had a lot of questions about this new boy.
"Gonna tell me what you know?" asked Eli, lifting his legs off the desk, still smirking.
"I don't know much," said Steven, biting his bottom lip as he glanced at the door.
Eli chuckled at Steven's annoyance. For once, the shoe was on the other foot.

"If I tell you everything so far, promise you won't breathe a word?" asked Steven, standing up as Eli swung back in his seat and applauded.

"Finally!" he called, before bursting into laughter.

"Can I bullet point it?" asked Steven, pacing around the room in a very Eli-esque fashion.
"Fine," replied Eli, pressing the home button on his phone to reveal a photo of he and Aria, "But I get to ask questions if I need to then,"

Steven nodded.
He dragged an armchair over to the other side of the desk and got comfortable as Eli still held a small smile on his face. Steven was glad that, for once, what was happening wasn't actually about Eli but he was not glad that it was about him.

"So, the guy who had been hanging around near Aria's apartment block, it's him," started Steven, Eli choked a little.

"What?" breathed Eli, after regaining his breath.

"It's not that bad, let me explain," pleaded Steven, "I was curious about him and since you were too wrapped up in Aria...Literally...I started doing more and more checks around her home when you weren't around,"

Eli nodded, "Whose a good doggy?"
Steven snorted as he rolled his eyes.
"You want a treat?" cooed Eli, smirking.

"Fuck up," laughed Steven, before sitting forward, "And once when I went back, I caught him,"
"Hope you broke his neck for stalking my fiancée," mumbled Eli, pouting his lips as he started scrolling through whatever on his laptop, which was barely seen amongst the books.
"That's just it. He had seen me pick Aria up one night to bring her here and he wanted to see me again so he thought maybe I lived with Aria," explained Steven, "Which is why he was hanging around Aria's apartment, waiting to see me,"

"Creepy, but I can't talk," stated Eli, glancing from his laptop to Steven.
Steven nodded, "So, I left him with my number and made him swear to never come around to this block again. He said he wouldn't,"

Eli kept his eyes on Steven.
"And so far he hasn't," admitted Steven, "We spoke once or twice on the phone and he was such an amazing guy...So...We met last night when you were gone, sorry Eli. He was in this house,"

Eli sighed, "I can live with it, I mean if you are interested in him,"
"Thank you," said Steven, "He told me his name is Rob, not Robert or Robbie, just Rob and he's came here on a trip with a girl who he referred to as 'K',"

"K?" asked Eli, "Is she like a side-hoe or something?"

Steven shook his head, "She's just a friend, she looks after him and has helped him a lot in the past few years. I haven't saw her yet,"

"Oh, she sounds like me but not as cool," smirked Eli, returning back to his laptop.

"And...Uh..Last night...Uh...One of the bedrooms on the first floor, the bed doesn't have sheets at this mom-"

"Oh my God," interrupted Eli, grinning from ear to ear.

Eli leaned forward and whispered, "Did you fuck?"

Steven's eyes widened in horror, "No!"

"What did you do then?" asked Eli, sitting back and looking slightly disappointed.
"We may have just...Jerked each other, a little..Surely how you and Aria started out," stuttered Steven, turning red.
"Me and Aria missed all that. I licked her out, fucked her, killed her. Now look at us," said Eli, clearly proud of what he had done to that poor girl.
"Well, we just did that, made out a few times. I told him about you and he said his friend had spoke about a man similar to you," said Steven, "Then that was it, he left not long after then you came home,"
"So he was here for a very long time?" asked Eli, smirking.

Steven chuckled slightly before going mute as he watched Eli's smirk fade away.
"...You said his friend spoke about me?" asked Eli, standing up, "And you said his friend was named K?"

Steven nodded as Eli scratched his head.

"And you said K was a girl?" continued Eli, "How did he describe this girl?!"
"He said she was compassionate...And something like warm and beautiful...But he said she could be really dark and complicated," listed Steven, raising an eyebrow, "What's wrong?"
"DID HE SAY WHAT SHE LOOKED LIKE?!" asked Eli, roaring as he frantically began moving around the room.

"No!" snapped Steven, going after his friend and placing his hands on his shoulders to calm down.
"No, no, no, no, no. Steven, no, this is fucking bad. It can't be but if what I'm thinking is correct, then Aria isn't safe. And something I've believed for years, no, centuries, has been a lie. Fuck," said Eli, cracking his fingers as Steven sat him down on the floor.

"What is it?" asked Steven, crouching down next to him.
"It can't be," mumbled Eli, his eyes black eyes widening as he stared into space.

If what he thought was true, he had to find Aria and run. But he had to find out if it was true before uprooting his future-wife from her own life.
