Eli minimised contact with Steven and Aria all day. He kept his mind on what he had to do and thankfully, the day flew in and now, Eli was resting on the couch as Steven sat on an armchair across from him.
"You've been rather, sullen looking," said Eli, glancing at his friend, "What's wrong?"

Steven shifted his gaze from the stained glass windows to Eli, "I might have met someone,"
"That's amazing," admitted Eli, sitting up.

"I knew you'd think that but you don't want me being happy in love when you've got all this Aria drama coming up," said Steven, raising his eyebrow as he spoke in a resentful tone.
Eli clasped his hands as he studied his friend,"Why do you think that? You're my friend. I want you to be happy...And what Aria drama?"

Steven took a deep inhale, "Like...The ring and her being around, y'know. And watching you with Aria, I don't know if I could resist and wait as much as you did,"

"I got the ring, but I just don't know how to ask her so I'm waiting, it's upstairs. But moving on, our situations are different though," admitted Eli, "All I can say is that the air feels different when there's someone in your heart, they're behind every move you make. Take it slow and get to know her. Don't run and think I come before your happiness, I can defend myself and you,"
"Him," stated Steven, biting his bottom lip as he closed his eyes briefly.

Eli shrugged his shoulders as he stood up, "Fine, take it slow and get to know him then? No big deal,"
Steven stood up and followed after Eli.
"Do you want to have spaghetti for dinner?" asked Eli, glancing back at his friend who didn't look as upset.

Across town, Aria humphed a bag of frozen food upstairs to her apartment before sliding her key into the lock and entering her home. She let the door swing shut behind her as she wandered through to the kitchen and dumped the bag on the round table. She flicked the light switch on and began unpacking. Eventually, when she was finished, she wandered through to the living room and froze before she flicked the switch on. She could make out an outline of something lying on her couch.

Eli had said someone had been hanging around. Nobody had a key though. There was no sign of forced entry.

She felt her fangs piercing through her gums as she flicked the light on. It was Eli, lying face down on the couch, seemingly in a deep sleep. Aria took a deep breath as her fangs retreated and her eyes locked onto the air vent in the ceiling which was now open, so that was how he got in. Kinda sweet. Kinda not.

She smiled slightly as she shuffled out and slipped into the bathroom, she took a quick shower and pulled on the pajamas she left lying on the floor this morning before sliding back out and going back to the living room, she yanked the large throw blanket off the back of the couch and lay down on top of Eli as she threw the blanket over him and synced her breathing with his.

A/N; i'm aware this is kinda short but it's just a filler chapter as well as Steven admitting he is bisexual and then the brief mention of Eli wanting to ask Aria to marry him.
