A T L A S T

After two months of procrastination, writing instead of studying for exams (oops), spewing three chapters in less than an hour and managing to juggle my (non-existent) life on top of it all, I finally did it.

The book is finished.

And that's not all. I intend to write a sequel, except it'll solely be in Calliope's point of view, and it'll be from 2012-2017. This book is set in 2017. So the next book will be about Calliope's life, about her eating disorder, what triggered her into developing one, and her life outside of school.

It took me over two years to gain the courage to write this book and two months to write it, and I couldn't be happier.

P.S. chances are I won't write the book yet because I'm working on another one.

So . . . Evelyn's point of view ended on a sort of cliffhanger. I suppose this was what I was going for even though I wasn't entirely certain.

Just like with any other book, I have my views on the ending of this book, and I kinda like how it doesn't really say outright if she died or not.

I mean, she might have OD'd and had heart failure. Or someone might have found her in time, rushed her to the hospital and they might have pumped her stomach.

Her slit wrists might've led to blood loss and therefore death. Or, since there wasn't that much cutting involved, she might be fine.

Lack of oxygen from intentionally drowning might have killed her, but, again, she might have been found in time for them to save her.

I said she sunk, but the bathtub isn't that deep, and she could've had second thoughts and lifted her head for air.

*shrugs*

All will be revealed at the end of the second book (hehe)

I just want to say the characters may be flawed, and you may have noticed they did some pretty fucking stupid stuff over the course of the book (I'm pretty sure everyone in the book has) but that's the way it's supposed to be.

This book is to show that nobody is perfect, even the most perfect-seeming person has some big, fucked up secret, and they have their own insecurities.

Bullying is not okay. It doesn't matter what form it's taking; if it's hurting someone else, TELL AN ADULT OR SOMEONE YOU TRUST.
