So I felt the need to try and get back into photoshop, so today was my day off and I saw that insanitics was holding another anime cover contest, I decided to give it a go. Basically the prompt was "masked" to take an anime character and make a cover portraying either terror or deceit, and I thought, hey rebellion is a form of deceit. So I took a page out of my favorite characters from Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V and took a stab at it.
About 20% of the way through I started recording it so we have the speed cover edition up in the media, in the page, and in the external so go watch it. Watch it for the epic, rebellion music if nothing else. It is great. There are several skipping errors in the speed cover because my computer crashed twice while recording, and while Photoshop saves, my screen recorder doesn't so...yeah.
For the contest.
Chose deceit and the anime is Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V. The characters are Shun and Yuto. And before anyone makes any comments about me not cutting out the guy with the green hair neatly (someone always mentions it, I guess it's easier to see flaws when you cut out anime characters) it was a png that I didn't clean up, so I didn't erase his background myself. Okey? Okey.
Text effect was something I picked up from a tutorial by RachelS8766
Overall I'm pleased with how this turned out.
