Clarke clutched the radio in her hand as she found an empty spot in a clearing. It's completely quiet, as it's just before dawn and there's tiny plants beginning to grow and Clarke watches them everyday, growing and becoming what they are meant to be: a tree or a flower. Sometimes, she's stuck with the heavy thoughts if she's a weed or a flower. Does she blossom into a beautiful object that people admire or is she stuck, annoying everything and just wanted to be thrown away: this is what life was to her now: comparing herself to plants.

As the sun creeped over the horizon she angles the satellite to where she seems to think would give a little service and possibly, maybe, just maybe reach the ring. She hopes.

Millions of miles away, Bellamy sits on the deck and watches the earth rebuild itself, very, very slowly. He too has a radio at his side listening. Everyone is worried for him, even Echo- who he shut down after nearly sleeping with her. All this began, on the second day: he forced Raven to make some sort of clock so he knew what was day and night. At that point, he thought Clarke was dead and he was a state. Bellamy drank anything he could find and pushed everyone away. It was Raven to brought purpose to his life again. She found herself working on a radio within a week of being up in space: her original goal was to make contact with the bunker as Clarke had managed to get them online before she supposedly died. However, during one of her testing, Raven and Monte sat beside each other in utter doubt that they'd hear anything but they did. Surprisingly, it wasn't who they expected.

" Does this even work??" The ragged voice says annoyed, Ravens eyes widen as the two of them shoot up in shock," come on- there we go." The voice on the other side seems a little more relaxed.

They immediately recognized the voice and Raven picked up the piece of microphone in order to reply back .

" Clarke!" She shouted too loud, loud enough for the others to come rushing in.

" Can you hear us? IS THAT YOU!" Monte shouts and Bellamy is first through the door.

At first he's confused but he catches on and basically shoves Monte out the way and grabs the microphone for himself. Terrified, his hands are shaking as well as his nervous voice

" Clarke?" He asks smiling as tears fall

" Hello? Can anyone hear me? This is Clarke Griffin, the last of the human race, the others are stuck under ground. Can anybody hear me? Please."

" CLARKE!" Bellamy shouts into the microphone and Raven immediately picks up on the fact that she can't eat them back.  She also knows that from her knowledge, the distance is to great to send anything back and that they can only hear.

Days turned to weeks and weeks turned into months until Raven broke the news that they would never be able to reply back to Clarke and this broke him even more. Once Raven spilled, he grew angry and stormed out of her and Montes work room, he stormed past Echo and right into an empty room. He didn't both turning the lights on because he wanted to be in the dark, isolated so he could feel her pain. Eventually, he found himself crying tears fit for seas and if he had a penny for every thought God would bow down to him.

This destroyed him.

So everyday at the same time, Bellamy took the radio set for himself and sat in that same room in the dark, listening to her voice. A year later, he was sat in the same position listening.

" Hey, so looks like this has turned into an everyday thing now..it's lonely down here. If someone was watching they'd think I'm crazy but the worst of it, is that I'm the only one left. Bellamy, you know that's my worst fear- being eternally alone." He pulls les back a tear and snuffles into his sleeve but he keeps listening.
