Evening Event Problems

Alan's Pov: Today I have a red carpet event that I can't miss and my date bailed out on me at the last minute. So Now I have to find someone else to go with and everyone else already has date's.

So I decided to call Laurie and ask her to be my date since she is here in L.A. I am in love with Laurie even though I probably shouldn't be. Laurie just turned 18 and I have liked her since she was 16 but I have not told her.

{ Phone Convo. W/ Laurie }

Laurie: Hey, Alan

Me: Hey, Laurie. I know you don't have anything to do today and today is your day off but I have a red carpet event that I can't miss and my date bailed out on me at the last minute. Would you like to be my date for the evening?

Laurie: What time does the event start?

Me: 6

Laurie: I would love to be your date for the evening. How formal is this event?

Me: It is a black tie event

Laurie: Okay , I will be ready by 5:50

Me: I will see you then beautiful

Laurie's Pov: Today is my day off and all I wanted to do today is stay in my hotel room and watch movies.

I got a call from Alan asking me to be his date for an event tonight and I said yes. I guess that gets rid of my plans for doing nothing today but I am not upset about it at all.

Now I need to start getting ready and I need to call my my hairstylist and make-up artist and my stylist ASAP.

I have a Black Tie event to get ready for and this event includes a red carpet.
