Proposal

Laurie's Pov:

I woke up this morning to the smell of breakfast.

I got out of bed and got dressed and went downstairs to find Val in the kitchen cooking breakfast.

I stood in the doorway for a little bit watching the love of my life cook breakfast.

" I could get used to this " I say loud enough for Val to hear me but quiet enough not to wake anyone up

" Good morning beautiful " Val tells me

I walk over to Val and place a kiss on his lips.

" Good morning Handsome" I whisper against Val's lips

Val and I pull away and I pour myself a cup of coffee and sit at the island and watch Val cook.

After a little while everyone gets up and we eat breakfast and After breakfast us girls go to the super market to get the ingredients for Mama Chmerkovskiy's Thanksgiving meal.

After 1 hour we go back to the house and I go upstairs to deposit my shoes and I found a note stuck to the door.

The note said:

Meet me at the Jersey shore at 5PM at sunset for a little walk along the beach. Luv you, beautiful.

Val

I went downstairs and showed the note to the girls and then I helped them put everything away and then we upstairs and they helped me get ready for this date with Val.

I ended up picking a greyish colored dress to wear and a pair of cute sandals and wore natural makeup and curled my hair.

After I was finally ready I walked out of the bathroom and saw the girls faces light up.

" Do I look Okay?" I ask Them

" You are absolutely beautiful " My mom tells me and the rest of the girls agree

We get in the car and drive to the Jersey shore.

After a while of driving we made it to the Jersey shore and I got out of the car when I saw Val waiting for me.

Val and I started to walk down the beach hand in hand and after a 15 minute walk we came across a heart in the sand with rose petals all around it and in the middle of the heart.

Val moved and stood in front of me holding my hands.

" Laurie, We have been together only a short while but I have loved every second. I don't want to share the up's and downs of life with anyone other than you and I leaned something when I almost lost you twice and that thing is: I don't want to spend the rest of my life with anyone but you. I love you, Laurie " Val tells me and by the end I am in tears

Val got down on one knee and pulled the ring box out of his pocket and opened it and revealed to me the most beautiful ring I have ever seen.

" Lauren Zoe Hernandez, Will you marry me?" Val asks me

" Yes " I tell him

Val stands up and slides the ring into place on my left hand ring finger.

Val kisses me and I see our family running out of the bushes to congratulate us.

I am engaged to the love of my life and I couldn't be happier.

Soon to be Mrs. Chmerkovskiy. God do I like the sound of that.

Val's Pov:

It is the day before Thanksgiving and it is also the day I am going to propose to Laurie.

I got out of bed and went downstairs and started to make breakfast for everyone.

After a little while everyone was up and eating breakfast.

After 10 minutes of eating breakfast we all finished and I cleaned the kitchen.

After breakfast Mama went to the the super market to get the ingredients for the Thanksgiving feast that she prepares every Thanksgiving.

After the girls were gone the guys loaded everything into the car and started the hour and a half drive to the Jersey shore.

We arrived at the Jersey shore and we walked down the beach and I secluded spot for me to propose to Laurie.

We set everything up and drove back to The city and got lunch and then we headed back to the house and I changed into the clothes that I would wear while proposing to Laurie and then we started the drive back to the beach.

My dad and brother and Laurie's dad and brother walked ahead of me to get to the spot where I would pop the question and find a place to hide.

After little while of waiting The girls showed up and Laurie got out of the car.

Laurie walked over to me and I got a better look at my girlfriend and hopefully my fiancé soon.

" You look stunning " I tell Laurie placing a kiss on her lips

We started the 15 walk towards the spot while the girls took a shortcut to get there in time.

After a short 15 minute walk we arrived at the spot.

I started to talk to Laurie and after a few minutes of talking to Laurie.

After my speech I get down on one knee and pull out the ring box and opened it to reveal the ring to Laurie.

" Lauren Zoe Hernandez, Will you marry me?" I ask Laurie looking her in the eye

" Yes " I hear Laurie tell me

I stand up and slide the ring into place on her finger and I kiss her with every fiber of my being.

After Laurie and I pull back from the kiss I see our family running out of the bushes to congratulate us.

" Let's go get dinner to celebrate the engagement" Papa tells us and we all agree

We go to dinner and after about an hour we all head back to the house.

" Goodnight, Soon to be Mrs. Chmerkovskiy" I tell Laurie crawling under the covers next to her

" Good night my handsome husband-to-be " Laurie tells me

We fall asleep in each other's arms for the first time as an engaged couple.
