As Jerome walks out of the school with his headphones in his ears, his friends were already walking home since he took too long to leave the school. Just in time, his bus arrived in front of the school.
He walks into the bus, pays with his bus card, then takes his seat in the back like he usually do since he was in third grade. Jerome simply looks out of the window and watches students walk by, wait for their rides, or goof around with their friends.
Jerome gave a low sigh, then he notices Ebony just walking out of the school and walks toward a silver Toyota, a man in his mid 40's waiting in the car with the windows open. For some reason, watching her walk to the car gave him a small flashback, making him remember a little girl running to the same type of car, but crying badly with a deep cut. Not only that small memory suddenly came up, a weird sanking feeling in his chest made him ache. The bus starts to move as soon as the last person got in.
' this aching feeling... feels familiar...' Jerome thought to himself, just feeling it made him remember a little guilt feeling, like he did something that he later regret. Jerome decides it's best to ignore this feeling and figure it out when he gets home.
The bus later stops in front of his stop, Jerome got out and walk the rest of the way home, his apartment was only three blocks away from the bus stop. The red bricked apartment with balconies for every individual apartment room was later in view, Jerome walks in and heads to the elevator, the apartment was big with only four floors, he lives on the third floor.
As soon as the door open, he walks out, taking his keys out and unlock the door. The door opens, and the sound of the tv was the first thing he heard do he walks in to see who's in the house. His annoying and nosey twelve year old sister, Serena, she had the same dark complexion like Jerome and has huge black twists with a few brown twists in her hair, watching America's Next Top Model on tv with a bowl of cookie dough ice cream.
Jerome rolls his eyes and drops his bookbag next to the couch. "You steady watching that lame show..." he says with a annoyed tone in his voice. Serena looks up and notices him standing there then clicks her tongue. "No it's not, better than what you be watching. " she says with a sassy tone in her voice. Jerome really hates her wanna be diva personality, it's actually very quite irritating. "Whatever. " He said, leaving the living room and heads to his room. "By the way,mom got off work early and in her room. "Serena said before he closes his door.
Jerome gives a loud and tired groan before falling onto his bed and looking up at the ceiling. ' This was the weirdest and most boring day I've ever had..." he thought as he looks at the ceiling.
Jerome did nothing but look at the ceiling for the last twenty minutes, he was brainstorming. How come the cut look slightly familiar, her golden eyes, and the man in the car Ebony was walking to seem very familiar as well.
Jerome gave a stressful sigh, some of those things had made him feel deja vú. Not to mention her name and eye color is awfully familiar, he remembers a Ebony... but when? Jerome took his phone out of his pocket, maybe one of his friends could help him.
Jerome turn on and unlock his phone, logging onto Messenger, the only Xavier and David were online. ' I'll ask David first, he got good memory..' Jerome thought to himself.
Jerome messaged David.
*Jerome: David i need yo help with somethin.*
And sent it, after five minutes, he have finally gotten a response from David.
*David: wat is it?*
*Jerome: remember the girl we saw in the cafeteria?*
*David: yeah😏*
