[E D I T E D]KILL YOUR MIND
❝life is simply a mix of mayhem and magnolias, so embrace this gentle riot and gather flowers along the way.❞11. Unexpected Unification
ELIZABETH TYLER HAD BEEN IN the Avengers Tower for a total of four a month before the blonde man approached her again. She'd spent most of that time with Tony Stark and Natasha Romanoff, sometimes getting Steve Rogers to teach her more about the modern world as he was the least oblivious out of them all, whilst occasionally getting medical check-ups. The magic repressing cuffs had been removed from her wrists, after Bruce Banner took a look at the damage the previous ones had done to her wrists as well as noticing a rapid decline in her organs' health, which had made her stay far more enjoyable.
Clint Barton had been on a mission abroad for the last week of Elizabeth's stay but continued to phone Natasha to see how the young girl was coping. Tony, upon hearing about the teenager's past, had gotten Pepper Potts, CEO of Stark Industries and lifelong friend, to decorate the largest guest room to her taste, knowing Pepper would have better luck, and gifted it to Elizabeth a day after it had finished. Elizabeth was forever thankful for the people's kind actions.
Of course, Elizabeth had seen the large blonde man around. Briefly seeing him from room to room as she was escorted back to her room had become a daily routine as her new chambers were close to the training room in which the man seemed to spend most of his days, but she never actually saw him for long. The sharp tugging in her heart always peaked when she was close to the man. It seemed as though he was purposefully staying away, however. Since she'd first seen him on her first day in the Tower, she'd been curious enough to ask about the man, but no one gave any answers. Not even Jarvis, the built in AI system created by Tony, would release any information.
It was frustrating to say the least.
That was until she wasn't woken up by one of the infamous Avengers as usual. It was just beginning to become an ingrained part of her daily routine, being arisen by her new cohorts, when it had stopped. Elizabeth had woken up naturally, past lunchtime, and hesitantly looked outside of her door. She was still under heavy superstition thus meaning that she could only be allowed to walk about with at least one trained person so, as she walked towards the kitchen, Elizabeth Tyler was incredibly nervous. It was only when the girl saw the blonde man sat on the kitchen table, that she decided that it was okay to be walking about as he made no move to shout at her.
As she grabbed her cereal, faltering slightly on where to sit, she could feel the man's gaze on her the entire time. The table wasn't particularly large, still big for normal use, so Elizabeth sat opposite the mysterious man. With her eyes glued to her food, pushing the cereal around with her spoon, she began to get aggravated at the man whose eyes were still held on her form.
