"I told you I'd win you over somehow babe" he smiles.

"Man, you truly are stalker material." I laugh. "But what makes you think, in this world, I would ever go on a date with you."

"Who said this was a date." I feel myself blushing. "But hey, we can make it whatever you want it to be princess."

"Don't call me princess, and drop the tude dude. I don't go out with guys like you."

"Guys like me, and what's that suppose to mean."

"It means, you're douchey, you get what you want, and you're here for sex. I'm not your girl, so run along lost little puppy. You won't find what you want here and you never will."

"You barely know me and you're already throwing shade." he laughs. "I'm nothing like that. Sure I may come off as douchey, but I can be nice, at least I'm trying to be."

"Well once again, newsflash bud, it's not working." I walk away heading towards my dorm room. I can hear and feel is footsteps behind me. He's like a whole foot taller than me, and he stomps around like an elephant.

"You should really learn how to pick up your feet. If you were a stalker, you would know that the first rule is to be quiet." I make an asshole remark.

"Listen short cake, I get you're like 4'3 or whatever, but.." I cut him off.

"For your information, I'm 5'1, and where I come from that's tall."

"Well where I come from, that's code name for troll kingdom." he laughs.

"Yeah, well your whole theory of being nice is definitely not working."

"It's a work in progress. But you're not so much better yourself. You should really hear the words coming out of your mouth."

"My mouth only speaks to cool people, and clearly you're not one of them, so goodbye." I run off rounding the corner when I hear "You can't escape me, I live next door honey bun." I see him walk around the corner and he smirks.

"You're so weird." I tell him. "Now leave me alone, I have homework."

"Sure, whatever you want hun. You probably won't get any work done anyway. I've got a 6 o'clock appointment with the ladies, right here in my dorm. I'll try to be as loud as I can." He smiles while unlocking his door.

"You disgust me." I laugh then head inside.

"So, who's the hot guy?" Abby asks.

"Nobody, ignore him, he's an ass."

"Well I want that ass, in my room."

"Abby, no. Don't say that ever again. You don't want to get involved with someone like him."

"It'll only be for the fun. Besides, this is college, and what would it be without a little bit of an adventure on the ride."

"You're right, but not with him. Find someone else. He's truly not your type." I tell her.

"I think someone's fanning over him. You like him don't you."

"No!! Abby that is definitely not going to happen, ever."

"We'll see about that." she laughs. "I made spaghetti, do you want any."

"Yeah, actually I do. I haven't had spaghetti in forever. Last time I had it was.. nevermind. Just hand me a plate and I'll enjoy it while it lasts." she smiles as we sit at the table together, eating our spaghetti.

*****
"I use to love spaghetti as a kid. My dad use to make it all the time. He was the chef of the house. I always told him that if we ever got enough money, I would have built him his dream. He always wanted to have his own restaurant. We'd call it 'Our Place' I told him.

He loved that name. He said it showed how truly close we are as a family. It meant so much to him. My plan was to get a job, save up, and we'd build it together. Choose the theme, the decorations, the blinds, the flooring, the walls. It would have been beautiful.

I of course got my dads great genes. I'm amazing in the kitchen, at least that's what he told me. We'd cook together, making meals that only food lovers dreamt of. It was the best. I can still smell the scent of his cologne when he cooked. It was warm and homey feeling.

He was the best dad in the world. I miss him so much. We'd have contests and my mom would be the judge. She'd choose what her favorite meal was, and whoever made that meal won a grand prize of a trip down to the family ice cream shop. Of course we all got ice cream, but it was still fun to know that you won.

I need sleep." -3/16/17

I wake to the sound of a fire alarm going off.

"What the hell!!" I walk out to the kitchen to see Abby and Matthew trying to cook breakfast together. It was the weirdest sight I've seen yet.

"Morning sugar."
