Tatl started to panic. "What's the matter?! Hey! Listen to me! Snap out of it!!"
A bunch of rustling came from the trees. "Yikes!" White monkeys surrounded Link and Tatl. "Don't worry! We'll help him!"
The monkeys went to work. Four monkeys each grabbed one of Link's limbs, and carried him through the forest. They held him above some water.
"The water in this spring is pure. Travelers put it in bottles and take it home with them." They all let go of Link, and he splashed into the water.
"Everybody now!" The monkeys rubbed themselves all over Link, rolling around and soaking him with pure water. Their fur tickled him, and Link sat up. "Ahh... ahh..."
Tatl flew in front of Link's face. "You're up!" "ACHOO!!" Tatl went flying.
The monkeys hung on branches, looking down at Link. "Washing you in clean water took care of the problem. If we hadn't, you'd be dead. What's your name?"
Link sniffed. "L-Link... th-thank you very much." Tatl came back. "I WAS worried about you... then you sneezed on me!!"

"No problem, Link. But now you owe us a favor!" Link rubbed he water out of his eyes. "What? You want a banana or something?"
"A banana? Yeah!" "No! Listen up! The swamp has been filling with poison, making it so no one can live here! The poison all seems to come from the temple at the top of the waterfall. So together with the Deku Scrub Princess we investigated... ...but a monster chased us off and captured the Princess. If we don't do something, the monster will eat her!"
The monkeys held out Link's sword and shield. "The Princess is our very, very good friend! You've got a sword and shield, are you strong? Get rid of the monster! Save the Princess!"
