Adopted By Who?

Birthday!

It was fall break. Yay! A week away from school. And one day away from my birthday!

I was hanging out with Danielle and Alysha because the guys insisted on going last minute birthday present shopping. And dad didn't like when I was home alone. Even though I'm going to be fucking fifteen in less that twenty four hours.

"So, Kaylen, we were thinking about taking you out for dinner and then take you shopping," Alysha said.

I nodded, "That sounds fun."

"So where do you want to eat?" Danielle asked.

I shrugged, "Uh, there's a really good pizza place in the food court at the mall."

They nodded, "Okay, we'll go there."

After dinner, they took me into Hot Topic. I saw a poster and laughed a little. "Hey Alysha, she looks a little familiar doesn't she?" I asked and pointed to the poster.

She giggled, "That red hair is familiar."

"What are we talking about?" Danielle asked.

I shrugged, "Just talking about this weird red headed chick."

She looked at the poster, "Hey! That's me!" She smacked our shoulders.

We laughed then I got serious. What shirt should I get? I looked up at the wall. I have almost every band's shirt so I'm just doubling/tripling up now. I picked up a Pierce The Veil shirt I didn't have.

Danielle and Alysha walked up to me. I showed them the shirt, "I got something."

"Aren't you going to get anything else?" Danielle asked.

"Oh, well everything here is kind of expensive and I didn't want to make you guys pay for all of it." I said.

"Hun, don't worry about that. This is an early birthday present. Get another shirt or something. We won't be able to make it to the party, so it's the least we can do." Alysha insisted.

I shrugged, "It's Hot Topic. You don't have to tell me twice."

They laughed and went over to look at some of the pants. I looked at the wall again. Maybe I should get another Asking Alexandria shirt. Or another Sleeping With Sirens? Ugh.

I think I'll get the Sleeping With Sirens one. I went over to the bracelets and grabbed an Asking Alexandria and Bring Me The Horizon bracelet.

I found the girls and told them I was ready. They paid for my stuff and their own stuff and we left.

I woke up to a turtle jumping on my bed, "Baby Turtle! Wake up! It's your birthday! You're fifteen!"

I groaned, "Father Turtle, I am tired. Baby Turtle needs to sleep."

"Well, I guess I can tell all of your guests not to come." He said.

"Guests? You invited people?"

"Well duh. It's a party. Hurry up Kay!"

"Okay, get out so I can get dressed."

Once he was out I put on my new Sleeping With Sirens shirt, jean shorts, and my Converse. I put my hair in a messy bun and put on my make up.

I ran downstairs and saw a lot of presents in the living room, "Holy shit, you guys didn't have to get me all this."

"I felt like spoiling my favorite niece." Jaime said.

"Hime-Time, I'm your only niece."

"Same difference."
