It had been a week or so since the wreck and I was finally able to go backstage and side stage with the guys. I really could have gone with them the next day, but Dad refused to let me. So I was forced to hang out with the guys from either Of Mice & Men or I Prevail, which I really didn't mind. They're all really nice and I've gotten pretty close with the guys in I Prevail.
As of now, it was an off day and Dad and the guys were taking me to the water park. I had begged and begged for them not to go, but they said it was too nice of a day not to go and I was going to learn how to swim. I was just getting over my panic attack when we pulled into the parking lot, causing me to burst into another one.
Vic rubbed my back and told me to take deep breaths. He sighed, "Guys, maybe this isn't a good idea. Maybe we should try a different time."
"No," Dad sternly said, "She's going to learn today."
Vic shook his head and looked down at me and whispered, "Hey, it's gonna be okay, we'll be here the whole time."
I took a deep breath and nodded. We got out of the car and went into the park. There were a lot of people and I didn't see a single thing without a line leading to it. I faked disappointment, "Guess we'll just have to wait." I started to walk back to the car, but Jaime picked me up and brought me back to the guys.
"We reserved a little pool area. We only have two hours, so let's hurry up," Mike said.
I trudged after them and into the fenced in area of the reserved pool. It was clean and small, but still terrifying.
Next thing I know, someone picked me up and threw me in. I screamed and thrashed. Someone jumped in next to me and pulled me to the surface. Once my head was above water I coughed and screamed. I looked at who came in after me, it was Dad. I cried and punched his chest.
"Tony, you can't just do that! What the hell were you thinking," Mike yelled.
"She's fine, I'm not letting anything happen to her. Calm down," Dad replied.
-an hour later-
(I'm too lazy to do all the stuff where she actually learns how to swim)
I can doggy paddle now, but I still don't like being in this water. I refuse to go into the deep end.
"Kaylen, we're gonna get ice cream and then we're leaving," Jaime said.
I swam as fast as I could to the ladder and got out. They made me stay in the water the entire time and it was hell for most of it. I dried off and put my clothes back on. We all walked over to an ice cream place that was inside the park. I didn't get any. I was upset about this entire day and didn't feel like eating. I needed to talk to Kellin or maybe Dylan. Dylan was the rhythm guitarist from I Prevail, him and I are probably the closest when it comes to people in his band.
"Today was fun," Mike said.
"I'm glad we got a free day today," Jaime replied.
"Did you have fun, Kaylen," Dad asked.
I rolled my eyes and got up from the table. I started walking back to the car. I was over today. I rummaged through my bag until I found my phone. I decided to text Dylan.
To Dylan: Hey it's Kaylen, can you talk?
A few minutes later he replied.
From Dylan: Yeah of course, what's up?
To Dylan: My dad insisted on taking me to a water park and made me learn how to swim, even though I have a serious fear of water.
From Dylan: I'm sorry Kaylen, are you okay??
To Dylan: Yeah I'm fine, just really don't want to be around them right now...
From Dylan: I can come pick you up if you want
By now I was at the car and sitting on the curb beside it. I texted the guys and told them where I'd be and texted Dylan back.
To Dylan: Yeah sure, I'll send you the address

After Dylan picked me up and we got back to their bus, the guys from I Prevail made me feel welcome. Brian, the lead singer, and Eric, the lead screamer, went to pick up pizza while Steve, who was the guitarist, pulled out a bunch of movies for me to pick from. Dylan grabbed a bunch of pillows and blankets and set up a fort around the couch. I laughed, "You guys know how to cheer a girl up."
"We can't let our friend be sad," Steve said and sat by me.
"What movie are we gonna watch, Kay?" Dylan asked.
I looked through the rest of the movies, "Hmmmm, when Brian and Eric get back we'll watch Blair Witch. I haven't seen it."
As I finished my sentence Brian and Eric walked in with pizza and packages of microwaveable popcorn, candy and pop. "Who's hungry," Eric yelled with a smile on his face.
Once we were all settled in the fort with all the candy, the pizza boxes and bags of popcorn, we started the movie. I laid on my stomach next to Brian and Dylan who were noisily eating popcorn. I glared at them, "Shut the fuck up, I'm trying to watch a movie." The guys laughed as they raised their hands in surrender.
After a while I still wasn't scared. I threw popcorn at the TV, "Boo! This movie sucks!"
"I know, I'm putting a different one in," Brian said.
He put in The Conjuring in and turned off all the lights. I ate a piece of pizza and sat up to take a drink from my Sprite can. I wrapped myself in a blanket and leaned against Dylan. He looked down at me and smiled, "Scared?"
"Pfft, no way," I said. All of a sudden the ghost jumped out, I screamed a little and buried my face in Dylan's shoulder.
He laughed, "Uh huh, you're definitely not scared."
"Ugh shut up," I smiled.
A/N: Hi! Depression got to me again, but when does it never? So yeah here. I'm on spring break right now so I'm going to try to finish this book so I can work on another one. It'll be over within the next five to ten chapters. I'm not gonna read through this because I'm too lazy for that, so sorry for any mistakes.
