A Party Isn't A Party Until You Almost Die

I was sitting in my room, waiting for everyone to go to bed. Mike had just gone to sleep. I smirked, this is great. Ollie had told me about a party they're all going to and said they want me to come. I couldn't turn down the offer and there's no way Dad would let me go, so I'm gonna sneak out. 

I got out of bed and took my sweatshirt and bed pants off, revealing my outfit I planned to wear to the party. A red plaid tank top with a fishnet long sleeve over it, black skinny jeans, and combat boots. I put a thick, black choker on, I put a Supernatural ring on, and Bring Me The Horizon ear rings. I put my makeup on and went over to my window.

My phone started to buzz. I looked down and saw Michaela was calling me. I rolled my eyes and ignored the call. I opened my window and jumped out.

Michaela's POV

I sighed as Kaylen ignored another one of my phone calls. She's been hanging out with these people who always get into trouble. One time that girl Ollie had to spend the night in a jail cell. I don't want that to happen to Kaylen. She's been avoiding us and fighting with her family and almost everyone at school. I'm worried about her.

Kaylen's POV

I walked into the house, immediately smelling alcohol, cigarettes, and pot. I smiled, this is gonna be a good night. 

"Aye, she actually came!"

I looked over and saw Ollie and Vi walking up to me. I smiled, "Of course I came!" Vi handed me a cup. I looked into it, "What's in here?"

"Vodka and whiskey. Fuck it's good," Vi replied.

I took a sip, the drink burned going down, but she was right. It was amazing. I drank a little bit more, "Show me around."

Ollie lead me out of the foyer and into the living room. People were smoking joints, making out, and drinking. I smiled, this is awesome. 

Kaylen, this is a bad party. You need to leave.

That dumb fucking voice is back! It's so dumb! I ignored it as I followed Ollie and Vi through the house. We stopped in a room where Alex and a few other people I didn't know were. 

"You guys wanna go down to the docks with us?" Alex asked Ollie.

My stomach filled with dread. The docks were surrounded by water, obviously. I still haven't gotten over the dumb fear.

Ollie ripped me from my thoughts, "You coming with us Kay?"

I swallowed my fear and forced a smile, "Hell yeah."

When we got to the docks I was shaking so much I could barely walk in a straight line. Everyone was pushing each other which made me even more uneasy. 

Soon the beer had been passed out to everyone, everyone except me. I was too sick to drink. Alex, who was drunk as fuck, decided to jump into the eerily calm water. The water came up and splashed me, I flinched. Soon people followed him and it was only me and Vi on the dock. Vi looked at me, "Why you look so stiff?"

I shrugged. My teeth were chattering and I was shaking too much for me to answer. Vi set her bottle down and looked at me, "Stay up here if you want, I'm getting in." There was a splash and more water hit me.

I sighed, "I-I'm gonna g-go back to the p-party."

"Aww c'mon Kay! You ain't scared of water, are you? Get in with us," Ollie shouted.

I shook my head, "N-No...I'm g-good."

I turned to walk off the dock, but slipped on some of the water that had been splashed up onto it. I lost my balance and fell into the black water. I screamed and thrashed, but I kept sinking. 

I was paralyzed by fear, I couldn't move. All I could do was hopelessly sink to the bottom.
