Chapter 61

HUNTER'S POV:

When it was Maria & Beck's turn to do the 7 minutes in Heaven, I was pretty nervous about it. I trust Maria, but Beck? Definitely not.

"What do you think they're doing in there?" Cole questioned everyone while watching the time pass by.

"I think Maria's just standing there, being a loyal to Hunter." Jack answered.

"Of course." Cole responded before checking the time again. "Their time is almost up, time to count it down!" he added enthusiastically.

"Eh," Jack replied.

"Come on! 16! 17!" Cole started counting waiting for everyone to join in. "You guys are boring!" he whined continuing to count down without us.

When time was up, Cole opened the door and all we saw was Beck pushing Maria against the closet wall. Beck didn't try anything, did he? We made it in time before he could do anything, right?

"Beck! What the hell are you doing?!" Rose exclaimed angrily walking over to Maria and pulling her away while she stood there silently.

"Oh, nothing really. I was just enjoying my time with Maria." Beck replied.

I looked at Maria who seemed uncomfortable, so I walked over to her and put an arm around her protectively before shooting a glare at him.

"What did you do to her?" I asked coldly.

"If I recall, I wasn't the only one there." Beck responded with a small smirk.

"I'll talk with you later, right now I'm gonna take care of this guy." I said to Maria before walking over to Beck. "I got a bone to pick with you," I stated looking at Beck.

"If that's what you think." Beck shrugged as he looked away.

"It's not what I think, it's what I know. Maria clearly looks uncomfortable after being with you in there." I stated with my arms crossed. "So, I'll ask you again, what did you do to her?" I questioned, trying to remain calm.

"I didn't do anything that you should make a big deal about." Beck responded.

I chuckled, considering I wasn't getting a straight answer. So I pushed him harshly towards the wall as I kept him there while I clenched my fist.

"Avoid giving me a straight answer again." I replied giving him an annoyed look.

"Are you mad?" he questioned, nothing but amusement displayed on his face.

"Of course I am! You did something to my girlfriend, and you're not answering!" I yelled at him angrily in front of everyone.

"Hunter, maybe you should calm down before someone gets hurt." Rose commented.

"It's okay, lil sis. This guy can't do much to me anyway." Beck laughed softly.

"You fucking piece of--" I was about to throw a punch at him, but immediately stopped when I felt a warm hand wrapped around my wrist, I looked back only to see Maria looking down at the ground. "Maria?" I said, the tone of my voice softening as I looked at her.

"I don't like violence when it's not needed." Maria answered in a soft tone.

"When it's not-- it looks needed to me. Clearly, this asshole did something to you and that's why you look uncomfortable." I replied.

"Can you take me home now? I'm tired." Maria responded calmly, avoiding eye contact.

"Yeah," I answered. "I'm gonna drop Maria off. And when I get back home, I expect everyone to be gone except Jack." I said to the others.
