*Twelve*

Kiefer and Mickey were now 3 years old...and more and more like their father every day...Kiefer looked just like Klayton, and Mickey acted just like him...and when they were together it was like he was there. King Tal was still chasing me around...the more I turned him away the more furious he became...but it was a real shock when Kim was listening in on King Tal talking with her brother Tron...about the day Klayton was taken...Kim listened to the entire plot...and she couldn't fathom that her brother was a part of it...she ran all the way to my room...which was also Criss and Rachel's room...for ever since I lost my Klay...they moved me in with them...and Criss took over being father figure to both of my boys...and his son Johnny.

Kim knocked on the door with a look of deep sadness and shock as she asked to talk to me...alone...I told her anything she had to say...could be said to my family...Kim gave me a smile and said it would be amazing if she had a family as tight and close as mine...then she sat down, and gave a deep sigh and said that Klayton's death was not by accident...King Tal and her brother Tron sat the whole thing up...because King Tal wanted me for himself...and Klayton was in the way...that somehow Tron sent unanimous word to the King of Helion on Klayton's location...and his capture was blackmail.

I fell to the floor in complete shock and anger...my husband was gone because of a King's jealousy and desire...Criss pulled me up and told me that we all had to get out of Deltar and go someplace else...before shit really hit the ceiling fan. I looked up at him with fire in my eyes and told him I wasn't leaving until that twisted fucking King was dead! I stormed out the door and headed for the palace hall, when Criss stopped me and told me he knew how I felt...but right now we needed to get out...then after our family was safe...then we could get revenge on them all. I calmed down slightly as I held onto my two boys...and squeezed them tightly...and asked Criss where we could go...that we were hunted by the Helionites...and now from new information Deltar was my enemy...where else was there.

Kim came out and said that she knew of a city that we could live in peace...because it was enemies of both Helion and Deltar...the reason she knew of it...was because it's where she and her brother came from...the city of Doktari...but she added that it was quite a distance to travel without transportation. Criss pulled in close to me and Rachel and said he would get the transportation...if she would go with us to show us the way. Kim hesitated for a moment...but then as she saw the three boys playing on the floor behind us...she shook her head in agreement...but it would have to be done little at a time...so the King won't notice right away...because if he caught word of it during the plight...he would have us all killed...then she looked right at me, and said that if the king can't have me...then no man shall...then she rushed out of the room to get some things pulled together for the great escape.

I was hostily tossing things into the duffel bag as massive tears were streaming down my face...totally pissed off at all the treachery behind the loss of my husband, and the father of my boys...as I watched them playing on the bed. I was going to kill that bastard...one way or another...I was going to get him. But Criss was right, first I needed to make sure our family was safe...then fight...and fighting was one thing I was ready for. Kim took our family from the outside of the palace first...for they were quite unnoticeable by the king. None of us knew that when Kim said it was a long journey...we didn't know it was three days away...because that's how long it took for Kim to make it back to us...as she gave us the word that they were safe...now all that was left...was Sully, Sandy, Criss, Rachel, my two boys...and myself...beens Sandy and Rachel had Karalea, Siera, and Dani take Johnny and Skylar with them...so they would be safe. Me, I couldn't let them take Kiefer and Mickey...because the King was always watching me...but this next trip he'd have to live with the disappointment of my disappearance...because we all were leaving on Kims next trip out of Deltar.

Tron secretly noticed his sister's plight against the King...and confronted her with it...and told her that if she valued her life...she would stay out of it...Kim turned and slapped her older brother across the face and asked him how he could do such a thing as blackmail...to get Klayton killed...just so that bastard King Tal could try to have Kc for himself...then she added that he was not her brother...Tron grabbed her and told her he didn't have a choice...it was either Klayton...or...her...and he couldn't allow the King to kill his sister. Kim gave him a hug...and told him that she was sorry for judging him...but it was time to do the right thing...and get Kc and her family out of Deltar safely. Tron agreed, and said he would try to mislead King Tal long enough for her to get them out...then he would follow shortly behind them...Kim gave him another hug and told him that she was taking them to Doktari, where they came from...he shook his head in approval...then headed back to the main hall in the palace, where King Tal was sitting on his throne while his three wives were surrounding him...along with his kids.

Back under the surface, Adam 7k was preparing another attack...only this time the dragons made underground tunnels to the allying city of Jericho...where Adam 7k gave the order for the walls of Jericho to fall...then as he went up riding atop his dragon...he told his followers to leave none alive...that this was war...and they just like Helion was their enemy. The Overseer asked him what about the children...Adam 7k turned to him and said he was a man...and men don't make war on women or children...only the men...then he led them to the attack...when all was said and done...Jericho was nothing but crumbled stone...then he ordered his men to take the women and children to Queen Aphelion...where they would be cared for...but before he headed back to his underground world...he looked to the South...and asked the Overseer what those lights were...he gave him a slight chuckle and as he told him that was the city of Deltar...but so far, that city wasn't on their enemy list. Adam 7k had a strong hit of recollection...and a sudden urge to journey there...but Overseer assured him that sooner or later they all would be heading that direction...to destroy the City of Varian next...because they were heavy supporters of the King of Helion too.
