Chapter 32 (End)

"C'mon just one more push!" The doctors calmly tell Alex.

"I can't!" She pants as she breathes in and out.

"You can do this," I tell her while squeezing her hand.

"I know you can." She looks at me and then all I hear is the screaming coming from a little baby. My little baby.

"You did it!" I hear the doctors cheer and I chuckle in relief as I kiss Alex.

"She's here." I smile as I look over to the doctors and the baby.

3 Weeks later

"Niall?!" I hear a scream coming from the bedroom. Assuming that something is wrong I run upstairs and rush into the room expecting to see something horrible.

"What's wrong?" I ask as I try catching my breath.

"Nothing I just wanted to see you one last time before you left." She smiles and suddenly all my worries are gone.

A smile appears on my face as I walk next to her and sit on the bed facing her and Emery.

"I'll be right back I promise, it's just a one day interview trip." I say as I put a piece of her hair behind her ear.

"I'm gonna miss you," she pouts.

"And Emery will too." She says as she picks up little Emery's hand and waves it a little bit.

"I'll miss you too," I say as I kiss her.

"And little Emery." I kiss her head.

"Okay well as much as I'd love to just lay here with you and our baby, I have to go."

"Take pictures of New York. A bunch of them." She says as she begins to get up and I do too, taking Emery into my arms.

"I promise I will." I say as I walk over to the living room with Alex. I smile down at Emery as a smile spreads across her little face.

"And buy a keychain. We are missing New York, Hawaii, and I think Japan. We can't call it a collection if we don't finish it." She grabs my coat and begins to fix it.

"I will do that too."

"Promise?" She pouts as we face each other.

"Promise." I kiss her slowly taking in this perfect moment. Emery and my wife, my queen and my princess.

"I love you." She says as she pulls away and takes Emery.

"I love you too, so much." I put on my coat.

"I love you more." She smiles.

"Not po-"

"Don't even try it." We both laugh as she puts Emery in her crib and I wrap my arms around her.

"It's just one day but it feels like it's going to be longer." She holds onto my arms and I kiss her cheek.

"Yeah I'm sorr-"

*Ring* *Ring*

I sigh and unwrap my arms from Alex's waist and grab my phone.

Alex's Point Of View

"I'm coming, just give me a second." He says a little mad. I'm going to miss him so much. Him letting go of me made me feel so empty. It's been so long since it's been just us.

"I have to go." He says snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Okay." I say pecking his lips once more and walking him over to the door.

"I love you. Don't dare say you love me more because it's not true." Niall's says as he turns around to face me. I smile and close the door as he walks away.

As soon as I closed the door Emery started crying.

"I'm coming baby," I walk over to her and quickly grab her making sure to hold her tight.

"Shh. I know I miss him too." I whisper to her slowly rocking her in my arms.

I love her. I love Niall. I have everything I ever wanted. I have happiness.

~Next Day~

*Ring* *Ring*

"Hey!" I answer quickly with excitement.

"Hey." Niall chuckles.

"Soo where are you?" I ask wanting to hear him say that he was close.

"I'm almost home. I'm just stuck in traffic right now."

"Bummer," I pout even though he can't see me.

"I hope traffic clears because I'm so excited to see you." I bite down on my lip trying to hold on my excitement.

"Yeah, I have so much to tell yo-" he gets cut off by Emery's cries.

"Hold on Niall. Let me see what's wrong."  I say slowly getting up and walking over to Emery.

"It's okay, just call me back later." He says as I reach the baby.

"Okay I will. Love you."

"Love you too." I hang up and put my phone on the counter before picking up Emery.

"Daddy's coming home Em." I whisper to her, rocking her in my arms.

"He's bringing pictures, and keychains. Also hopefully some ca-" I get interrupted by the sound of the door being opened. I smile as I realize that Niall is finally home.

"He's home." I whisper to Emery now putting her head on my shoulder and placing my hand over her head.

I quickly make my way over to the door and notice that it's wide open with no sight of Niall.

"Niall?" I call his name as I close the door and turn around. I start looking for him but don't see him.

"Hold on Em, let mommy go look for Daddy." I tell Em as I go back into the room and place her into the crib.

She quickly starts crying as I place her down and I, to stop her, put my hand in for her to play with.

"Don't cry," I pout as my method doesn't work.

"I'll be right ba-"

Niall's Point Of View

I grab my keys in rush to see my beautiful wife and my beautiful baby girl but realize that the door was already open.

"Alex?!" I yell as I rush in getting scared.

"Alex?!" I yell again as I drop my things and run upstairs. I start to hear Emery crying and my heart starts to beat faster and faster.

I run into the room and quickly over to Emery with still no sight of Alex. I grab our baby and run back downstairs.

She wouldn't leave Emery here alone. Something is wrong.
