Unluckily Taehyung ended up being too busy to hang out with his friend on Monday after school: his date and he had met again and, as he had made sure to let Jimin know, they had even had a lot of fun.
«I just feel ... fine with him. I don't know, Chim Chim, it's weird. It's like dealing with your best friend and your lover at the same time.».
«Oh, Tae, this is so cute. You are in love!» Jimin sang out, handing his friend a cup filled with a yellow, icy drink; the cafè wasn't crowded, and they managed to occupy their usual spot.
« What? I'm not! – V scoffed, utterly offended by Jimin's words – I am free. I am sexy. I am not in love. You know me, Chim: there's a reason why none of my relationships have ever lasted longer than a month. Plus, it's too early for love. We barely know each other. ».
Jimin laughed, amused by the other's reaction to the "L" word: «There is a first time for everything. And it's never too early. Especially for love.».
«Ah, stop it . Don't say that word in front of me. Never again. – he complained, rolling his eyes – Anyway, talking about first times ... – a sly smile spread onto his face – You owe me an explanation, Park Jimin.».
«That was not my first time.» the kid yelped, his cheeks turning bright red.
«Aish, not really. That was with me. – Tae pointed out, a proud smile on his lips – But it was the first time with him. How was that?».
Jimin looked away: truth was, he was starting to regret sending that text to V, because now he knew he would have to deal with his curiosity, but as his literature teacher would always remind him, "what is done cannot be undone"* and he simply decided to let him beg for it a little more before confessing; it took him a while, but eventually Tae succeeded in his mission.
«He did what?! Oh God, how did that feel?».
«Keep quiet! – Jimin yelped, hiding his face behind his pinkish frappuccino, but he smiled shyly as he added – It felt so good, Tae.».
He wasn't lying. It did feel good. God, maybe not the best handjob he had ever received, but it was certainly something; not because of Yoongi's skills -he was definitely good at it though- but because he could swear he had felt some kind of connection between the two of them.
His smile grew brighter at the memory, making his friend squeal with delight: the kid had always been kind of an enthusiast, let alone his reaction as Jimin let those words slip out of his lips. It took him 2 mins to calm down.
When Tae eventually stopped asking for details, considering himself satisfied with the info he had gotten from his friend, they sat silently for a while, both of them enjoying his own icy drink as they watched the other customers come and go in an unjustified hurry.
«So ... what now?» Taehyung managed to ask, using his straw to stir his frappuccino.
«What do you mean?».
«Well ... should we consider you a couple? Or that was just ... I don't know, the heat of the moment?».
Jimin frowned, and his smile slowly faded away: he hadn't really thought about it. He had just assumed it had been something both of them had wanted for a long time. He had spent the previous day in a sort of crazed dream, unable to focus on his homework or anything different from Yoongi and his note; he had thought about calling him, and he had even dialled his number, but the rapper's words about the topic had suddenly come to his mind: "no calls unless you are about to die, and avoid texting, cause I rarely check my messages.".
So he had just waited for their usual meeting, holding back the butterflies in his belly and the huge smile that would spread onto his face every time he would think of Yoongi, trying not to get his family to think he had gone crazy.
Even though maybe he had. Just a bit. Just a tiny little bit.
The thing was, he couldn't really take Yoongi off his mind. Or his body. Or his lips. Or his hands. Or the two of them on the floor ...
He had ended up jerking himself off in the shower, his eyes closed as he rested against the tiled walls with his mind focused on the previous day.
But now ... Taehyung's words had messed it all up.
What if it had been just a one night stand for Yoongi? After all, he was used to it, wasn't he?
Suddenly, Hoseok's words about Suga's "adventures" came back to his mind. Of course, it had meant nothing for him. He had teased him, and he had gotten a reaction. That had been it. Now his name could have been added to the list of the rapper's conquests, just like the twins and that prude girl and God only knows how many others.
Jimin couldn't help but feel stupid. And also incredibly childish for the whole "connection" thing.
«I ... I hadn't even thought about it ... » he admitted, and he felt his eyes water and his cheeks heat up: how could have he been such a fool?
Tae immediately looked up and reached out to squeeze softly his friend's hand: «Chim Chim, I'm sorry! I ... I was just joking! I thought you had talked about it. I was just ... messing around. – his lips curled up in a sympathetic smile that couldn't really make Jimin feel better – I'm sure it wasn't just a one night stand.».
«I don't know. I guess ... I guess we'll have to talk it through. – Jimin stuttered, standing up suddenly – I'm leaving. I'm ... I'm leaving. Tell him I'll be waiting at the theatre.».
He didn't even let time to complain: he rushed out of the door, his almost empty cup still in his hands as he stopped in front of the cafè to take a deep breath and fight back the urge to throw up.
"So stupid. So stupid.".
He mentally kicked himself and hurried to the theatre, tears already running down his cheeks.
