Chapter 8: Keep it to yourself

Yui's POV
Lately, I've noticed that Mika-san has started to grow distant, cold, mean and very, very violent. One time I approached her to ask her what was wrong but before I could even speak she sent me a fiery glare and I swear I noticed both of her eyes glowed red. She's been glaring, giving harsh comments and been threatening to hurt me whenever I approach her. It's like another version of Subaru was born except she's a girl and is more dangerous and violent than Subaru. Just the thought of Mika-san being more violent than Subaru is kinda...impossible. I let out a deep sigh as I continue to walk towards the kitchen to drink water.

"Shove that in my mouth and your dead Veronika. I dare you." I froze on the spot, my hand near the door knob when I heard Mika-san's voice but then came confused when I heard a laughter.

"Oh come on Kae! Just one bite, then I won't bother you! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Pleeaaasssse!!"

"Fine! Just quit whining before I change my mind." I heard Mika-san growl as I peeked inside and saw how she took a bite of the tart on the plate.

"Their actually good."

"Can't you just admit that it's delicious." Veronika-san said beside her and she scoffed before smiling.

"Whatever...what are you peeking for human?" Mika-san said with a growl glaring at the door that suddenly flew open making me stumble inside.

"Uuuh...I was...th.....I....uhmmm.......I'm sorry." I apologized while looking down at my feet.

"What're you apologizing for Yui? You didn't do anything."

"She interrupted us."

"That's not something you have to turn into a big deal."

"I don't like her."

"You just haven't gotten to know her."

"I could say the same to you."

"Why are suddenly being so distant towards someone who just wanted to be friends with you?"

"I don't need friends!! Especially a human! And most especially her!" Mika-san shouted with eyes glowing red as she pointed a finger at me.

"Why are you shouting?! I was just asking you why?!"

"Because I don't need anyone but my family! Not the brother! Not her! Not those Seryu's! Only us! I only need us Von Einzvern's!" She shouted with her eyes turning into a fiery color and the room started to feel hot.

"Don't you know that this is for your own good?! Mika you need not just us! You need to get out of that burrow of yours and join the others!"

"Like I said! I don't need anyone else!!!!" With that a whirl of fire bursted. I closed my eyes ready to take the painful sting of fire. But it didn't come, instead I felt something cold, snow and ice. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Mika-san trapped in an ice block with snow surrounding it.

"You have to calm down Mikaela. If you don't, we'll be found out." Veronika-san said beside me with hair white as snow and eyes blue as ice.

"What is going on here?" We all turned our heads to see Reiji-san and the other brothers by the door.

"What happened here?! Its all burned and ice in here!" Ayato-kun shouted as he stared at Nika-san and Mika-san.

"Both of you explain this to me now." Reiji-san demanded as he glared at Nika-san who was somewhat struggling.

"Now not really the best time. Can anyone get Lilian for me? I'm really can't hold Mika long enough."

"No need for that Veronika." We all saw Lily-san appear in the room. She walked toward Mika-san who was growling, she then pulled a syringe out and injected it to Mika-san's neck. Mika-san seems to have calmed down and Nika-san removed the ice trap and fell to her knees panting, her eyes and hair slowly went back to their normal color.
