Chapter 9: Demons

Veronika's POV

'Kill her. Take everything she has. Never share and never trust others. And remember to only trust...yourself.' I quickly flew my eyes open, panting hard on my bed as I felt a bead of cold sweat roll down my forehead.

"Calm down Veronika." I jumped a bit when I heard the voice of Lily beside me, seating on the edge of my bed.

"Do you remember anything that happened after the events yesterday?" She asked and I nodded.

"You mean when I stopped Mikaela from killing Yui? Yes, clear in my memory." I said and she frowned.

"Do you remember what happened after the incident?" She asked and I furrowed my brows making her sigh.

"Turn back time and let her see what she did in her memory." Lilian said then put her hand over my eyes and a memory flashed before my eyes. I bit Yui and angered the brothers even made a mess everywhere in the house.

'No' I thought when Lilian removed her hand from my eyes.

"That can't be. I made sure to calm Yuki and Mo Fubuki from coming to the surface!"

"Apparently you got irritated when Yui was being persistent on helping you."

"...Can you leave me alone and please let the others know that I wanna be left alone for some time. That means the brothers and the others can't meet, approach or even talk to me....even Mikaela."

"Even me." She added and I nodded not looking at her. I heard her sigh then walked towards the door.

"Just send a snowflake to my room if you need anything." She said opening the door and slowly closing it then left. I let out a deep sigh when I no longer felt her presence.
