Chapter 15: The Deadly Sins

A child who was born with all seven heavenly vitues was kept a secret by her parents, fearing that if she ever steps the outside world her purity will be tainted.

This child was a princess, pure as a pure one can ever be, never set foot out of the castle, not even the garden, she was only allowed within the castle where the palace staff can keep their eye on her when her parents are gone.

But one tragic day happened when her parents sailed to sea to attend a wedding of a neighboring country, but a heavy storm drowned them at sea never to be seen again.

On the age of twelve, she still never got to leave the palace, met a boy, and this boy was the son of the head butler. Both became such great friends until sixteen.

At the age of sixteen, the young princess had a ball where she and her now personal butler, the head butlers son, are attending to meet the neighboring countries prince and strongest knight.

The princess was alas eighteen and was happy to never leave the castle and have confirmed each others love with her butler though she still admits that she's in live with Prince of the neighboring country.

One day, when her personal butler left to town to buy ingredients for some dessert he'll be making for the princess but bumped into a fair maiden whom he happen to find lovely.

When he went back to the castle and told the princess about the beautiful maiden he came across and without even knowing it, the princess was envious and didn't want him to love anyone but her so she ordered him to kill the maiden in order to forget her.

Because he didn't want the princess to think he has betrayed her for another woman he has only met, he did what he was told. He killed the fair maiden by a willow tree and left her body leaning on an empty well, leaving the dagger with the royal crest as well.

While in the other side, the prince of the neighboring country left to see his secret lover where they usually meet, under the willow tree which was in between the two countries. One he arrived, he had found her dead and cried in agony for the loss of his loved one. Once he saw the dagger with the royal emblem of the princess's country he became furious and ordered his strongest knight to have her beheaded for killing an innocent.

Once the princess heard news of the prince's attack she didn't feel terrified, instead she was happily having tea and eating crème brulé that her lover made for her. Glancing at her two yellow love birds her eyes gave out a sad look when she saw one of them died.

The butler who saw that it was a mistake to leave evidence, he decided to take the princess's place of death instead. So he cut his long hair to the same length as the princess and wore the beautiful yellow gown the princess usually wore and came to her and gave her his clothes.

The princess was hesitant at first but since he insisted it she did what she was told. She wore his clothes and took a cloak with her as she left the castle.

The butler who printed to be the princess was caught and was to be publicly executed the next day. The butler didn't feel guilty for choosing this decision but felt sad for leaving his lover, his beloved princess.

It was the day of the execution, people have gathered to watch and so did the princess in disguise. As she watched her lover stand by the guillotine, he smiled and looked up at the sky and so did she and found the other bird in the cage free. She smiled at her lover and he mouth  three words to her then he was beheaded.

As he was beheaded the bells chimed and the princess in the crowd had tears in her eyes as she slowly walked away with the crowd.

Five years have past and the princess have change so much, she was no longer pure. She was gluttonous, greedy, lustful, easily angered, lazy, prideful, and emvious. She was a sinful woman at the age of 23, people thinked of her as a witch, especially women since she would sleep with any man whether married or not.
