Chapter 5: Pulling the strings

Reiji's POV
I was in my room mixing ingredients to make a potion that would a person unable to move, to make them paralyzed. I was planning to use it on Louise so I could fortune afterwards forcing her to tell me their plans. I had a feeling they were planning something to do to that human girl.

"Perfect." I said as I finished the potion.

"Now to think of an idea to make her come here." I said when a knock on my door was evident.

"Come in." I said ad the door opened revealing the twin of Louise.

"Can I help you with something Aria?" I asked as she nodded.

"Louise wanted to talk with you 30 minutes from now in your room. And she said that she prefers Vanilla Mint tea or Jasmine and grape tea." She said and I nodded.

"I will see to it then. You may now leave." I said as she left the room.

"This'll be easier than I thought. Looks like I don't need to come up with an excuse to invite her to my room." I said to myself as I went out of my room to brew Vanilla Mint tea. After brewing the tea I quickly placed it on a tray along with teacups a cup with sugar cubes and cream. I took the tray and brought it to my room. When I placed it down on the table I poured the tea on the teacup. I dropped a bit of the potion on the first cup I poured afterwards poured on my own cup without the potion of course. After pouring the tea a knock was heard on my door. I walked towards the door and opened it for her.

"Hello Louise." I said in a calm tone. She nodded at me.

"Reiji." She said as she went in my room and sat on one of the chairs.

"I brewed you some Vanilla Mint tea." I said as I saw her eyes lit up.

"A great choice since Vanilla Mint is more suitable to my taste than Jasmine grapes." She said with a smile. I nodded at her and took the tray but stooped in my tracks.

"Is something wrong Reiji?" I heard her ask.I shook my head carrying the tray to the table placing it on the table. I gave her the tea with the potion and waited patiently for her to drink it. Once she received the tea she added two sugar cubes and a teaspoon of cream in it.

"What did you want to talk about Louise?" I asked as I held the tea in my hands.

"I've been wondering. You are all brothers right? How come you all act so distant from each other?" She asked as she took a whiff of the tea's aroma.

"...Me and that deadbeat have the same mother, the triplets a different mother and Subaru another." I said as her eyes snapped open.

"May I know the names?" She asked as she put her cup down on the table. I stared at her for a minute before I drank my tea then placed it on the table.

"Subaru's mother is Christa, the triplets mother is Cordelia and our mother is Beatrix." I said and I saw her eyes twitch at the names.

"Is there something wrong?" I asked and she shook her head.

"No their names just sound quite...different. It's a bit familiar." She said as I nodded taking another sip of my tea. I saw her eyeing me as I sipped from my tea, a smirk formed on her face as I raised a brow at her.

"You really are dumb for not noticing the aroma your potion on the tea." She said as my eyes widened.

"Whatever do you mean?" I asked holding my head feeling a bit lightheaded.

"What did you do?" I asked her with a growl. My body was now paralyzed.

"I didn't do anything, you were the one who drank your tea with the potion." She said innocently as I glared at her, she chuckled shaking her head.

"So what if I did? So what if I made my familiar switch the cups when you weren't looking? The potion would work on me anyway even if I drank it." She said as she stood up and towered me.

"You. What are you planning at?" I asked with a growl. She stood there, towering me with golden glowing eyes. Wait, gold?

"You don't have a clue do you?" She said as she ran her hand on my face.

"Let me tell a little secret Reiji. You see, your mother and your brothers mother are all involved in the family of Von Einzverns. For example Cordelia is our mothers older sister, her full name is Cordelia Von Einzvern." She said and my eyes widened.

"That's not all. Our mothers mother, Alice Heart Tsukinami, the younger sister of the First blood king , married the Demon King, Lucas Von Einzvern the descendant of the former King of Hell, Lucifer. Alice's brother the First blood king, Raven Spade Tsukinami married your mother, Beatrix's younger sister, Rain Reinsworth." She said as I narrowed my eyes at her.

"My mother has no sister. She never did,neither did Cordelia." I spat and she chuckled.

"That's because Beatrix swore to herself that she will never accept Rain for marrying a First blood, especially the one who killed their parents. As for Cordelia, she was exiled from Hell and was stripped of her family name for bringing shame to the family name and for murder of her own mother."

"Just like her sons killing her." I said and she nodded.

"Runs in the family. As for Christa Harukami, the daughter of a nobleman who are sworn to loyalty to the demon king. My mother and her met once and became acquaintances." She said and I took in everything she said when I came into a conclusion.

"So your saying you Von Einzvern's and the triplets are cousins at the same time half siblings. You are also considered as a distant relative of ours and since Subaru is Christa's son, his loyalty is sworn to you." I said and she nodded.

"Not quite all correct but you get the point. Now I have to make you forget~" She said in a singsong voice as her right eye glowed a crimson red and her left eye glowing gold.

"So that means your also a demon aren't you." I added and she smiled th stroked the hair covering my face to the side.

"You should really know your place. " She said and before I knew it she was sucking my blood. I groaned at the sudden pain, I was loosing my blood so fast.

'How can she drink so fast in a split second?!' I thought then I heard her chuckle and she removed her fangs from my neck.

"I haven't drank for three months  plus since I'm part demon, my hunger would make it at a higher peak than regular vampires like you and your brothers." She said as she bit onto my neck again. I felt lightheaded as she was drinking too much, then I blacked out.

Louis's POV
Once I heard Reiji's steady breathing that was when I knew he fainted. I chuckled as I removed my fangs from his neck,  I licked the blood at side of my mouth. My hunger for blood was at its limit and used this chance for me to knock him out and erase his memories.

"Hood thing I set up a barrier around his room if I didn't the  others would be barging in." I said as I finished removing his memories from awhile ago. I stroked my hand on his hair as I peeked at his memories.

"So you became like this because of the way she treated you. How pitiful, you only wanted attention from her but instead you get scolded for shouting at your brother for his personality. You admired at the same time envied him." I said as I removed my hand and used puppet strings on him so I would know his every move.

"Too bad to try and get it out me." I said as I left him making sure the fang mark was still there evident on his neck. I smirked as I left him their with false memories.

"Sorry but we're the ones pulling the strings." I said with a smirk as I walked down the hallway towards Lilian's room.
