Chapter 16: Vermillion Phoenix

Mikaela's POV
I was in my room, lying on my bed, face down. Reiji came a few minutes ago, told me to get ready for school but I told him I wouldn't go and he complained about how me and my sisters are the same so he decided that few of them will stay us. Ruki, Kou, Yuma, Subaru, and Ayato were left with incase anyone of us would go berserk someone would hold us down.

'As if you could even hold us down that easily. Idiots.' I thought as I sat up from my bed and changed my clothes. I changed into a black tailcoat with the inside as red, red blouse with a black ribbon, black denim jeans and black boots with some spikes at the heel. I tied my hair into a high ponytail and tied it with a red and black striped ribbon.

After changing I sat back down on my bed and hugged my stuffed rabbit. I played with the ears as I brought it up and down.

"What are you doing?" I stopped playing and looked up to see Yuma by my door chewing on a sugar cube.

"Entertaining myself." I said as I played again then hugged by plush. I lay on my bed with the plush raised above me.

"Cute isn't it?" I asked as I showed him the plush and he nodded.

"Sure the person holing it isn't." He said smirking and I felt a vein pop on my forehead and grabbed a pillow and threw it to his face in which he caught it.

"Aren't you a rude one." I said with my brows twitching and he just smirked at me.

"Well aren't you a lady." He said and I growled and he laughed as he sat beside me. I punched on his arm and he hissed but smirked.

"For a girl you actually are stronger than you look...that actually hurt a bit."

"Oh there's a lot more where that came from." I said and we both laughed and lay on the bed.

"Ne."

"Hmm?" I asked glancing at him and he asked with a serious gaze.

"What are you guys hiding from?"

"...What are you talking about?" I asked as I sat up with eyes closed.

Yuma's POV
"Don't act dumb. You know what I mean." I said to her also sitting up. She inhaled deeply and exhaled silently and faced me and opened her eyes and revealed her glowing eyes. Her left eyes was glowing gold while the other a deep red and I froze in place when she spoke with a demonic voice.

"If I were you I'd stop asking questions about me and my sisters or else." I gulped loudly and sucked in a bit of air.

"Or else what Mikaela?" I said and she narrowed her eyes.

"Don't try me Yuma."

"What? Just go ahead and say it? Or are you just putting up a front to show you tough?"

"Shut up."

"Shut up? Not until I hear what you've got to say. So tell me? What are you gonna do if I keep pushing you? If I force you on the edge?"

"That's enough." She said and I continued even though I saw that she was clenching her fists hard enough to draw blood.
