once i arrived home i was met by my parents who greeted me with a hug and congratulated me. they are a very work oriented couple so they rely on me to look after myself quite a lot, it was good to see them so proud of me. 

my dad climbed down from the loft and handed me a suitcase that my mum said she'd help me pack. i was only going to la for 5 days and then i would be flown back home. depending on what the casting crew decide i could be moving to canada, where the show was being filmed, or staying in london and going back to school within the next two weeks.

after a short while i decided to try and take a basic picture of what i was packing to post on instagram, alerting people that something was happening behind the scenes and I was really excited for it.

after a short while of scrolling through all my social media's i decided it was finally time to get off my ass and pack some more. my phone chimed and it showed me i had a facetime call coming through from emalee freaking out because she can't decide on any outfits.

"cara!" she whined through the phone. "i didnt realise how hard packing is, my family don't go on holidays to la we go on holidays to margate. i don't even know where to start?" i laughed and calmed her down
"look, i'll raid my wardrobe for things you might like that you can borrow and then i'll come over and help you pick things from the floor-wardrobe you've got going on. then you can drink a chamomile tea and calm yourself down." i responded with a chuckle. she thanked me as i ended the call and began looking for some outfits that would suit her.

i finished packing and asked my dad to drive me over to her house, her mum answered the door and hugged me over-exaggeratedly, "thank god you're here cara, i could not last another second in that bedroom." 
she noticed my eyes went wide at that, "you're the only one who can tame her, i'll crack on with the tea like you said." 

i responded with a laugh and walked up the stairs that lead to her door before it flew open and startled me. "thank god you're here now. i think i went slightly insane trying to decide what to bring." she informed me as we walked into her room.

"how did you make all this mess?" i exclaimed while walking over to her bed glancing at some outfits that had been put out.

"right where do we start?" i asked myself.
to begin i gestured to all 4 pairs of shoes. "its a 5 day trip, you only need 2 pairs of shoes, one for the beach and one for everyday." i started. after a solid 5 minutes of her going backwards and forwards between which ones she wanted, she took the black vans from my hand and some topshop sandals and placed them into the suitcase. i rolled my eyes and sighed, i was going to be here for a while.

just as we put the last item of clothing into her suitcase she ran and got her washbag she pre-organised and placed it into the suitcase. "finally, after 3 long hours. you are ready to go to la." i joked while putting my hands on her shoulders.

she laughed and picked up my phone off of her bed handing it to me. "it's getting late, i'll get my dad to drive us to mcdonalds and then he can drop you off home. i don't know about you but i am hungry." 

she shouted into her house asking her dad to drive us there. he agreed unhappily and we laughed together as we went downstairs getting into the car. while singing along to mamma mia to irritate her dad.
